Work in progress of the next few pages of From The Shadows. I ended up starting to redraw the top page at the last minute due to having a much better idea. Hopefully it'll make the final version look a lot better.

From The Shadows - pt. 1

RWBY BBTag comic WIP. Practicing using the webtoons format with this too. 

I was really surprised Blake and Merkava had special interactions, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. It made me want to do a comic about it. These are the first few panels, and there are a lot more coming because this turned out longer than I thought it'd be when I thumbnailed it.

Updates and Future Plans

Currently there's a lot happening on my side of things at the moment, between convention crunches, getting ready to move, working a full-time day job, and trying to make comics and stuff on top of it all. My plan right now is to shift as much focus to my artwork (the comics part specifically) come early September. I'll be uploading concept ideas for comics I want to do until then so when September rolls around, I can dive right in and start churning out as many pages as I can.

Fairy Tail Print

Finally finished this Fairy Tail print! Gonna bring hard copies of this to Anime Expo before putting it online with the rest of my newer stuff. My store needs a serious update, but the con crunch and day job are devouring every second of my time. 

Doing this heavy shadow/ cell shaded style felt really good and much more comfortable. I think I'm gonna try and render more stuff like this from now on. 

More FG Charms!!!

Thanks for enduring the lack of comic content at the moment. With AX and EVO in particular coming up, Akami and I have been working really hard to crunch out a ton of new stuff. And since quality is super important to both of us, this has been taking up a ton of time. Comics are gonna happen, though! These are just really important to help keep me afloat further down the road (and also I just really like making fighting game stuff).

Yuko Yanai - Concept Art

Concept art of Yuko, for a comic project I'm working on. She's Haru's half-sister, the female protagonist, and the antagonist. To Yuko, true power equates to how much control she has over her surroundings, and the people around her. Due to complicated family circumstances, Haru is the one most frequently on the receiving end of her toxic behavior. 

There's far more to her than meets the eye, but much of her past is kept in secrecy. Yuko makes it a point not to let out too much information...

Haru Haruna - Concept Art

Concept art for Haru. He's the male protagonist and Yuko's half-brother. Though physically strong, he's emotionally delicate. Due to his and Yuko's strained upbringing, he constantly finds himself caught in Yuko's grip.

Though mostly quiet and passive, he's prone to explosive outbursts when pushed too far for too long.

Villainous - Charater Designs

Villainous is a project I work on when I'm down in the dumps. Been there a lot recently, so I've been getting a lot done with the comic. This is Yuko. The antagonist of the series. She was the first character I designed for the comic. Personality wise, she's a monster. The main driving force of the comic is how she interacts with, and forces control, on her younger half-brother, Haru. Word of warning about the comic. I intentionally go out of my way to make the situations uncomfortable.

Alola Aqua - Stella

More designs for the Aqua Grunt comic! 

This is Stella. A steel-type trainer who traveled to Alola in search of more steel-type pokemon, and to train more to hone her skills. She befriends the former grunt early on in the story.

Alola Aqua - Grunt designs

I've mentioned an idea for a Team Aqua Grunt come on my twitter, tumblr, and Instagram. The story would revolve around her retreating to Alola to reflect after the events of Alpha Sapphire. 

These are the designs I came up with for the former grunt. I wanted to make it clear she wasn't part of Team Aqua anymore, but I also wanted her to still be recognizable as a former grunt.
