Milestone Goal Change

Hey bosses,

You'll notice that we changed the goals and there's no longer a Day 6 milestone. If you love Day 6 don't worry it's not going away.

Here's what's going on

1. The progress toward the milestone was stalling
2. While many of you love Day 6 not all of you loved it in the main feed

SO

Pete has a plan to carry Day 6 forward and make it bigger and better on it's own. For now it will be in the DTNS feed but the long-term plan is to transition it out in...

Topic Suggestions?

Every day myself and the co-host brainstorm what the main topic of the day should be. That's the one we dive a little deeper into after we cover the top stories.

We're trying to provide a little more perspective, understanding and thought provocation beyond just the daily grind.

We don't just cover the Pepper Bot coming to Taiwan but talk about what robots are good for. We don't just talk about Microsoft ending support for older Skype platforms, but discuss how long we should...

Daily Tech Headlines and Daily Tech News Show in one feed

Pro tip: While we don't make one feed for both shows they do both get posted to Soundcloud. SO if you use the Soundcloud RSS: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:8517847/sounds.rss You'll get them both in one feed.

Just realized that was happening and I know at least one of you had asked for a combined feed.

Ground-delivery robots may be as good as drones

I’ll be showing up on WTOP radio in Washington DC next week to talk about ground-based robot delivery. The spin in DC is that airborne drones aren’t allowed because of flight restrictions in the nation’s capital, so ground based delivery provides a solid alternative.

Here’s a few notes from my segment prep. Let me know if you like getting this sort of thing:

The Washington Post reports Estonian company Starship Technologies will start providing deliveries in Washington DC...

Survey coming from Patreon

Hey there,

The fine folks at Patreon will be sending out a survey to a few of you about what it's like to be a patron.

It's a short one.  About 7 questions and should take no more than 3 minutes. So keep an eye out for it and no they asked if it was cool first. It's the kind of thing that can help them out quite  bit.

Thanks!

Tom
