Now one of you messaged about six weeks ago with the very sensible question.
In summary, whilst I've covered a lot about organising out homes physically, did I have any ideas on how to organise digitally.
So this was a bit of an impromptu side quest to see how far I could get, the results were interesting!!
Lots more I want to think about in this space!
I actually never really twigged how cool MOPA lasers can be - the ability to actually choose what colour you want metal to be has got me super excited for all the possibilities!
The build continues of my next video - I'll be ready to film soon, but I might actually see if I can fit in a completely different video for this weekend... I've been on another side quest.... breaking free of the algorithms....!

I've been testing out the xTool F2 Ultra's metal carving abilities, my trusty xTool P2's fabric cutting skills and the DTF's ability to overlay pre-cut patterns. You can get a glimpse of where the world of clothes crafting is going in the next decade.... and it's pretty awesome!
Now the end result may be a disaster, but that may be more my skills rather than the tools....!

Now I took longer than expected to finish the workshop, so you'll know I've been itching to test out resin printing (which I'm planning for an upcoming board game video) - it's actually a great example of Elegoo as they've been super cool about me just enjoying their stuff, rather than pushing for an video.

Just thought I'd give you a little sneak peek of a couple new additions to the workshop!
This is xTool's upgrade to the F1 Ultra - I'm pretty excited to test this out.
Where the F1 Ultra maxed out at a very fast 4,000mm/s, this can hit 15,000mm/s!!!!
The 20W Fiber and 20W diode of the F1 Ultra gets upgraded to a 60W MOPA laser and a 40W diode....
And a whole lot more.
The MOPA laser also allows super precise wavelength adjustments, so I can actually burn different c...

Oh this DTF printer is starting to be a lot of fun! I've been printing mad ideas for clothing all day, so I thought I'd share some of my efforts.... modelled by, er, me!
I'm starting to get a little excited by how easy this thing is to use - I've been churning designs out as fast as I can think of them. I have a feeling I'm going to end up with customised clothing everywhere!!

Loving this new Aqara light I bought - full LED colours on the outer rim and adjustable brightness/warmth on the main light.
The Playroom is entering the final stages despite the utter carnage in here!
I've got the Serverware area just about set up and I've been fitting all the LED strips that I'll need!
Oh and special shout out to my new 3 phase consumer unit - the sparky asked how big I wanted
I've been testing xTool's Apparel Printer - it's a monstrous attempt by them to simplify the highly complex, messy and sensitive process of DTF printing. This has previously been the domain of much larger and more complicated 'factory-like' devices - so this is super interesting to me in terms of moving the industrial process into the home.
I'm almost there - been tuning some remaining banding issues as they release updates, so fingers crossed I'll be churning out some interesting test...

This was a bit of a 'penny drop' moment for me - Edge AI approaches like this are super handy. But I'm really glad to see companies like Reolink pushing these previously cloud-only capabilities to local, subscription-free products!

Ok, the time has come for this mess to be sorted once and for all!
I've delayed it as there was lots of mess being created (fibre being installed, switches and routers being switched) - but there was no excuse now as I continue the build on the ultimate playroom.
This has turned into a mini project in its own right, so I'll give you all an update on the finished result.
Oh and Loki (one of the kittens) was desperate to see what I was doing with all these cables.... he's already...

16 trees involved in the making of this - note I didn't count the bamboo skewer despite it being a wood, it isn't a tree.... should have used a cedar plank though in hindsight....

Just a quick sneak peek of another project I've been working on!
I've been channelling those 1950s drive in cinemas - there’s something magical about watching a movie under the stars and it's so nice to break away from the same old spot in front of the TV!
In a rare turn up for the books, this project was much, much easier than I expected!! (I used to be a bit of a home cinema expert when I made my own cinema room before kids), but boy have things come along...
Ok I blame you all for this.... this was a disaster effort from me, as I was trying all your lovely drinks suggestions and ended up somewhat worse for wear.....!

Well I installed this screen for an upcoming video and thought this was the easiest install I've done in months then...... realised it's broken. The internal spring doesn't retract at all..... <sigh>
So I have a few photos of the entire install and a dozen of me trying to work out what the heck's gone wrong and why it's not working. Totally dud.
Ordered a new one....

I'm spending far too long tidying up recently, but this one should be fun - I'm adding a little 'feature' to the BBQ area!!
But as an aside I'm looking to make The Ultimate Woodworkers Burger!! So trying to pack as many wood-related themes into a single burger - here's what I've got so far:
Oak-smoked Burgers
Applewood Cheese
Hickory-smoked Bacon
Maple Syrup
Crushed walnut and Pine nuts
Served on a cedar plank
I'm sure there's more, I want an entire forest...
I had to clear up after completing my latest project, so I thought I'd share my life hack!
I've found if I fill up MY car boot with rubbish to take to the recycling centre, then it stays there for ages.
BUT, if I fill up my husband's car with all the rubbish, it just disappears and I can refill it!
This method is completely free and doesn't have any side-effects, other than my husband seems to look increasingly annoyed..... assume it must be the weather or something unrelat...
As I mentioned on discord earlier, this is one of those 'ramp up' projects. When I finished it, I thought it was cool, but now I've been using it for a bit, it's just got even cooler! There's so many 'oh yeah' moments where I've forgotten my keys, need to quickly unlock, spot delivery drivers arriving and more!
Super fun project that I'm using 10 times a day at least in some shape..... and unlocking the door with your face.... it's just cool....!
