Day 3 has begun.

I know I said I was gonna take a break after Your Boyfriend Day 2 was out.
But I instantly went to work on the script for Day 3.

Why? 

Because I want Day 3 ready before Christmas.

Don's theme

As you know, I use to do most of the music in Your Boyfriend.

However, in day 2, I decided that it would be best if we hired someone who knows that they're doing.
You know, someone who works with more than some random music generator.

After listening to his music, we have chosen Mexi, a good friend to RedError, to compose new songs for the game.

There is a scene where you have the chance to have TK sit with you while you're on your break.

NW I'm just working with the model, seeing what works with this scene. Clearly I need to fix up the one arm because it's not properly on the table.

Changing Tiers, especially 'Rich Kid'

I do not know what is going on with the patreon tiers as of late, but it has come to my attention that the 'Rich Kid tier' has been having issues. I can't even alter or change up the pricing either.

The best I can do is remove it, then create it again.

I apologize greatly for any inconvenience, and hope this clears up a few things.

Day 2 scene

This is what happens when I collaborate with the amazing BlasticHeart to do the event scenes in Your Boyfriend~!

I did the lineart, and Blastic did the coloring and shading. and, as you can see, Blastic went above and beyond to have this scene really pop! So I'm really excited to get the other 4 scenes done and get Day 2 finished!

NOTE: You only get this scene on one of the paths you take.

So, in Day 2, there is a scene where YB pins you up again the kitchen counter (Depending on your path), But when sketching this scene out, it looked more like he's pinning you to the bed.

Not that you'd complain, yes? XD

Anyways, the script for Day 2 is complete, along with the first set of avatars for the other NPC's.
All that's left is these lovely scenes that the amazing Blastic Heart will help me with, and Maybe, JUST MAYBE we might get Day Three out as well before October ...

Lucy's sheet thus far

Pout of all the characters, I will have top say that Lucy is probably one of the easiest to do expressions for.
Mainly because she has no overlapping eyes or hair above said eyes going on.

Think I'll need to make alterations if I'm to survive doing all of TK's expressions. We'll see.

TK color pallet test

First off, yes, TK is a person of color. However, I did hit a bit of a snag when I was working on their pallet for the game.

As we all know, Girlfriend is straight up white, whole Your Boyfriend has a tint of grey to him.

Now, this made me realize that I was gonna have to make TK here a darker shade of grey if that was the case. It only made sense to match the pallet the two main (antagonists?). But the dark grey really didn't seem right for the character at all. And adding  ...

Your Room, different angle

With all the locations in Day two written down, I finally reached out to our background artist, Blasticheart, about the scenes we needed.

Now, they work better if they have reference to the scene. So most of the time I'm browsing Google Images for shots they can use.
Unfortunately, one of the scenes is a view from your bed. only one image had that, but it was in a very fancy flat that had no room to place the various items I had written down in the script.

Day 2 script near completion

Not only do you have 4 paths, but those 4 paths also branch out into different outcomes of their own as well.

So not only will you be going along the path of rejecting your boyfriend, but that rejection path branches out in 3 different ways.

Sure, writing it all out is challenging, but it's fun adding in little subtle 4th wall moments~.

Tea scene?

If there's one goal I always try to achieve in this game, it's the changing of avatars through out each day.

I know it would save time and make things easier if I did just use the same avatars and not be complicated with them, but I wanna avoid the common 'Same 4 avatar expressions', you know?
I'd like to keep each day fresh and new like any other day you wake up to.

As we all know, common visual novel games have those scenes you can unlock if you select a certain path.

I GOT A NEW TABLET!!

Not only will I finally be able to finish commissions and tiers, but now i can work on the avatars of Day 2 of Your boyfriend as well! HOLY ALMIGHTY!

RIP Drawing Tablet

It’s finally given out. The pen pressure doesn’t work anymore, it lags whenever I try to do any kind of stroke and tries to lock up each time I connect the pen to the screen. and today it just wasn’t registering at all.
