If I die tomorrow, I want to be sure I've created something real, something that touched others on a deep level by capturing what resonated deeply with me.
In today's sequence, I wanted to portray how passion feels sometimes.
If I die tomorrow, I want my art to become the language for others to express themselves, to express their love. I hope my art transcends.

My plan for this weekly art was a simple practice, I had plenty of things going on and I really did not want to obsess for days. I saw plenty of great references yet could not find inspiration to even try. So I spoke to myself and asked, 'What do you really want?' and I was not very sure, but I felt I really wanted to create something mine, original, authentic.
Like, if I die tomorrow, I'll be proud of what I plan to create today? Hard to tell, too much pressure will kill the work. So I...

I think my body does not allow me to do any art that does not resonate with me anymore, and that is why I struggle to create art for the sake of doing art (something difficult to do if I plan to do it on a weekly basis) unless it has some meaning behind it.
Because art creation involves exploration, to make the art, one must "waste" time in the mess of the process, in the "not knowing what I am doing." This is something I hate when I am solving problems on a daily basis. I must have a d...

The very first part of these last practices was focused on creating something authentic. I started by choosing random references or simply exploring a few illustration ideas I had from a couple of days ago, but sadly, nothing stuck. Even though I had made some progress on a few of them, I ended up painting a picture of a city. I think I liked how the girl in the picture stood out amidst all the chaos around her since she was readable.
Painting backgrounds has always been interesting to ...

In the very first years of my exploration in social media as an artist, digital artist to be specific, I learned how to create a composition, how to paint through light and perspective, how to express different ideas and emotions. Over time, I started developing what I’ll call “the formula.” I’ve shared this formula here on Patreon many times, and it’s something that changes every once in a while, depending on what I want to create.
The formula has been very useful because it ...

Among many references, there was one with a woman going up stairs. I thought it would be nice to paint her as an angel, as the jacket she was wearing resembled a pair of wings.

Moving forward, that little devil in me kept whispering in my ear, telling me to add more and more detail. This eventually led to a complex concept, one where the stairs would be replaced by an elevator, and two charact...

So, while I was drawing this time, I was thinking about what I haven done badly in the past. I guess, during the process of creating art, especially when one is struggling, there is a very weird thing that happens. The brain kind of pushes you into places that are uncomfortable: memories from the past, situations you haven’t fixed, questioning yourself, or even completely unrelated thoughts to the actual drawing.
I found this particularly annoying, mostly because it’s distracting. I...

Last Monday I was thinking about making a series of random practices; eventually, I chose to paint only one of them. A picture of a man driving with a woman on his motorcycle, through what I think is a European coast.
I managed to capture the reality of the picture in my own way, yet through the end, I felt compelled to push them both towards a more exaggerated and dynamic version of each. Him leaning forward into what seems to be a rapid action scene, and her almost ready to fall in th...

So, I'm making a book. A few months ago the 3D Total team proposed the idea of creating a book about my art. I've always been a digital artist, not very oriented towards physical products like prints, merch, or simply books, so I wasn’t initially very interested. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed several books from animation productions and the work of great animators like Hayao Miyazaki, among others. So I thought, why not? I...

It's been a while since I painted, so I did just a quick practice. I literally opened Pinterest and selected the very first references the platform showed me. Eventually, I ended up painting the sixth one and two other references after. While doing that, I was thinking about tools I could develop for you to use in Photoshop. The good thing is that I had a couple of ideas, but most of them involved another professional, like a programmer, for instance. So I went in a simpler direction by creat...

Hey everyone,
Coming back to Japan has given me some perspective on many things, and I've noticed that overcomplicating my work made me a bit miserable. So, I've decided to simplify things and focus on sharing useful content with you while making art just for fun.
That being said, today I wanted to share a brush I made from scratch, inspired by the pencil I often use called 'Pencil Oh - Line Art.' My new pencil is called 'Numerouno,' and I used it for today's drawing.

Hey everyone, I'm currently in Tokyo and I've been lucky to find great books about Miyazaki's and Ghibli's works. This reminded me how much I’ve been inspired by their films over the years and how their influence has depicted my recent work. So today, I want to talk briefly about what I like about some of their light and color choices in films, how these combinations can be found in my pieces, and light/color choices you can also use to convey similar beautiful compositions.

So, patrons ask this question frequently, but also plenty of beginner artists I've met across time. Here are some simple tips you might find useful if you are at the beginning of your journey.
When to post
When refers to the timing of your posts, choosing the most effective moments to share your content to maximize visibility and engagement. It involves knowing when your audience is most active, understanding platform-specific peak times, and maintaining a consiste...

Hey everyone, a few days ago I received a message from a Patron asking how to avoid 'chicken scratchy' lines and draw 'perfect lines' I found this to be a very common issue, not only with beginner artists but also with professionals.
For a quick definition, by 'perfect lines' I mean a combination of clean, smooth strokes made by a hard-edges brush, that does not have any texture. The opposite would be rusty strokes if the dimension is thick or a combination of thin strokes layered ...

Hey everyone,
The idea behind 'Catcher' was mainly inspired by Halloween. I wanted to create a character related to this theme, and I guess the witch ended up being the favorite.
I searched for quite a while for a reference to inspire the witch's outfit. I was looking for something triangular, perhaps in the kitchen or house, but nothing stuck. So I decided to move on with some studies and share them in this week's article.

Hello there!
In today’s post, I want to address how to draw standing legs by following five simple steps. Let’s dive in:
1. Draw rectangles to position the quads, knees, calves, and feet. We will not go deeper into the smaller muscles in this particular tutorial, as I mostly want to cover the larger muscle shapes commonly found in legs.
2. In step two, we will slightly shift the recta...

This piece is the result of several failed attempts over the course of weeks. I've wanted to do something related to cutlery for a very long time. Initially, knights were more appealing to me, but I didn’t really have a clear 'scene' in mind for the composition.
While imagining three friends laughing at each other, I realized this could be a great opportunity to create something inspired by a trio. The immediate thought was the Three Musketeers, and from that, cutlery inspired by the ...

Hello everyone!
More than a tutorial, today I wanted to address a concern from one of our patrons, who was unclear about how to approach hip drawing from some references shared on our Discord. These references featured two females seated in a particular way, making it difficult to discern how the hips were structured. So in today’s post, I want to simply share my take on this pose from a technical perspective.

In this particular process, I found myself wondering how the moon would look if it were represented as a character. For some reason, I imagined a very glamorous woman, wearing a shiny, tight dress, not just any dress, but one from the 1920s, reflecting a very specific aesthetic. Immediately, a series of images popped into my head from gangster movies and films like The Great Gatsby, where the display of fancy outfits at parties was prominent.
While searching...

Hey everyone,
In today's tutorial, I wanted to take a small break from drawing anatomy and delve a bit more into rendering cloth. I've shared tips on this in the past, but today, I'll walk you through a step-by-step rendering of a very complex shirt reference, explaining my approach using brushes. This will be especially useful if you're tackling challenges like this and don't know where to start. Let's dive in.

Hi everyone,
Whisper was inspired by La La Land, the movie. I watched it again last week, and since I really love its vibe, I wanted to create an illustration around the theme of "dancers."
This illustration also gave me the opportunity to explore the concept of a character without a body made of bone and flesh, something I’ve wanted to try for quite a while. It was a way to challenge myself by creating something more complex that doesn’t rely on facial expressions or hands, w...

Hello,
Gravity started from the idea of composition inspired by the sun and the moon. While reading about some characteristics of the sun, the idea of a vibrant, blonde, and warm woman crossed my mind. I pictured her as happy and full of high energy, and that sparked the idea of her running. However, just a good-looking woman would not provide enough depth to the composition, so the idea of planets as dogs came to mind. I believe this was inspired by an old picture I saved of Daniel Rad...

Without further ado, let's dive in.<...

'Cut' started as a simple narrative about salt and pepper, where I chose the butcher profession as a second layer based on the connection both have with meat.
In search of ideas to make this situation feel more authentic, I decided to show that the meat they were storing and butchering was from a dragon. Up to this point, I wasn’t very satisfied with the composition; they weren’t interacting with each other, just standing there doing their job.
While drawing the big guy's face...

Open is an illustration inspired not only by a bottle and corkscrew but also by psychology, as you can see. I asked myself, if a bottle of wine had a female shape, how would she look? The answer was quite straightforward, a woman in pain, wanting to share something. And what better object to use as a listener than a corkscrew shaped like a psychiatrist?

Art is the way in which we capture and show our ideas to ourselves and to the world, in my opinion. Even though we are wired similarly, everyone has different ideas defined by their unique experiences, so the way they show these ideas and their content is unique.
I like to think of my art as a new perspective in which the mundane becomes something different, something bizarre or just fun. This exercise forces me to think and be creative over trivial subjects, aiming to build stories, na...
