While I still have a linger sore throat, I am feeling a great deal better. I was not expecting to be knocked out of work for over a week, and am deeply disappointed in this outcome. The round-up this month is likely to be weak (if even worth doing at all) because of this. I am getting back to work ASAP, but I understand those are just words, and I will try to prove it with actions. Thanks

I did 3 complete pieces and 2 sketches this month, and while I think the complete pieces are of good quality in my opinion, I am very underwhelmed by my output. Just to be forthcoming, this month was a little rough. A little time was taken away because of having to visit family, but I also have just been hit with a large wave of depression. To be honest its probably just a lack of vitamin d/exercise, which I am working on!
My intent was to finish my backlog by the end of May, and I failed. Disappointing to say the least. THAT BEING SAID, I intend to go really hard and finish before mid June! What's my plan for that? I'll be streaming all week at 2pm EST, for 2-4 hours, just to make sure I am getting work done. This kind of thing usually helps me get back in my groove! Including the sketches I've already done, I owe 7 pieces total, just to be forthcoming. Once those things are all done, I will be ramping up patreon stuff. Polls, some animations, working on short pay comics. Big plans! Anyways, sorry for failing this month. Hopefully no more fuck ups this year.

Hey, sorta late but lets do the wrap up! Yay!
I felt really negative about my work output (under-performing on number of pieces), but actually seeing the work I did, it wasn't bad at all! I have shifted the stream sales from beginning of the month to the end of the month, which generally has worked well for me! Stream sales keep being very good money, though very exhausting, so I am still figuring out what works for me in that regard.
LETS TALK ABOUT MY BACKLOG!!! I have have been playing the 2 steps forward 1 step back owed work game for literal years. Its been stressful, but my to do list has looked shorter than ever. In fact, if all goes well, I will be done this month! If not this month, then definitely in early June.
What does that mean for patreon?
1.) I'd like to do a patreon poll where $5+ patrons submit ideas, I pick my favorite, and then everyone gets to vote on it! Perhaps the sequence even remains private to only the patreon? Unsure on that final part, but I have been interested on a poll returning and committing properly to it.
2.) Pay comics! I have one mostly sketched I'd like to complete, and then I want to start producing a bunch of 5-8 page comics every other month or so.
3. Animated stuff. Idk if that will be linked to the patreon, I just want to do it.

Sooo my computer wouldn't turn on for a while last night. Right now it is working but I have no idea why it had the issue in the first place. I intend to do a stream sale and get at least 2 more pieces done while its still working, but I obviously need to have it looked at (and potentially replace any broken or dubious parts). This means I might need to take a short hiatus. I have a rather cheap laptop, so I'll be seeing if it is capable of doing any art. That being said, if the issue is the power supply or motherboard, I can have it fixed relatively quickly.
TL;DR: I am having computer issues, and will be having it looked at after finishing a few more pieces. There might be a short gap in my ability to work. Just wanted yall to know, peace

2024-04-10 21:11:13 +0000 UTC View PostHello! This is the march wrap-up! I think I missed one or two of these, sorry! SO, what happened in march? I completed a whopping 9 pieces! Wowie! That’s a record I think maybe! In march, I tried to mix things up with a few pinup item sales, and finishing up some owed sequences. Most importantly, my taxes were due, and so I had a BIG stream sale to pay them! The good news is, my taxes are paid (and the IRS accepted them already, yay!). I shouldn’t have to do that next year. I have learned my lesson.
Things I’ve learned: Item sales are good. People seem to like those. Stream sale was at the end of the month rather than the beginning, which I think I prefer as well!
So what is going on with me now? Well, my backlog is getting pretty close to done! I would say I owe something like 6~ pieces, and realistically, because of how well the stream sale did, I can at least focus on those completely for the next week or two. Once my backlog is done, I can work more on paycomics (which will be posted on patreon), and start doing some form of monthly patreon poll or something. I was thinking of collecting suggestions and doing a poll of my favorite ones maybe?
New things for patreon: I added a small discount for the $5 tier, and a new $10 tier that offers a bigger discount! I also changed the $50 tier so you can slowly over a few months get a sequence! I do not intend to “take away” from tiers. I only want them to improve and offer more as I have more free time and focus to work on them. When I finally start getting them done, the $5 tier will receive tiny 5 page comics and the $10 tier will receive big 20ish page pay comics! That still requires me to finish backlog work but its getting close….

I figured I'd rather update these before april 1st just so no one is confused about this being a joke or something. Nope, the changes are real!
Additionally, the $50 tier has been edited to be 1 flat color step of a 3 step sequence. Basically you get a step each month, and after you receive 3 steps, you step down so anyone else interested can hypothetically get a sequence.
In the future, I intend to give small comics away for any $5 and up tiers, and big comics to $10 and up tiers. I also wanna do some kind of communal poll and monthly sequence thing, but until my backlog is done, I think attempting that again will spell disaster. Once my backlog is done and my financial situation is more stable, we can talk about it tho!
Finally, just to be totally transparent about me, my backlog, and what is going on, I have like.... 7 major pieces that need finishing I guess, and then I am free! My estimate is that I will be done all of this by mid june at the latest. Having my backlog clear will lead to more free time to focus on patreon and pay stuff, and I really want to get this thing to a higher quality. I am very excited about the future. More than I have been in a while. I just feel there is a lot of potential.

On april 1st (this is not an april fools joke, I am really doing this), I will be changing the tiers to offer a bit more! the $5 tier members will now get 2% off any commissions, and there will be a new $10 tier that receives 5% off. In addition, I was thinking of changing the stream sale tier to a monthly tier where you can 1 flat color step of a sequence each month for a total of 3 (or maybe 5) steps. Basically you'd receive all the lower tier benefits but also slowly receive a sequence! It was based off a suggestion I got from one of my followers.
I am just trying stuff out, I want to improve my patreon, and there will be even more benefits once I have more time to work on more exclusive stuff (that's coming soon, I promise. Probably this summer?)
