Mizutsune Monday: A doodle every Monday, to celebrate what great prey mitsunes make.   

This week is Kysa the Chiasmodon, who's swallowed up a mitsune and is astonished to find it tastes disgustingly like soap (with a slight hint of fish).  With a nickname like “Bubbles” I'm not really sure what she was expecting to be honest~

Mizutsune Monday 8

 Mizutsune Monday:  A doodle every Monday, to celebrate what great prey mitsunes make.  

This week is... Different.  It's basically a creature that eats colors and has a see-through stomach (Which I may or may not keep, playing around with the idea for now but I'm not sure I'd like it on larger "prey"). It swallows its "prey" whole, stretching to fit them entirely inside its stomach cavity, after which the victim's colors melt right off them.

Obstinate Ivory - HR

 In MHST I like thinking that when you're swapping skills off a monster, the recipient is eating the one that's doing the transfer. Some monsters are harder to convert than others, like Ivory who has a lot of Thunder attack and really detests Fire, so it's not easy to get him to make the switch.  Don't think he minds though, all things considered :P

This week is a Mosasaur-Rae swimming off with a mitsune who isn't at all pleased at having his peaceful swim in the ocean interrupted so rudely like this.

Honestly, what even are titles? *shrugs*   Anyway, this tiny little animation... Took me over eleven hours just to set up.  Every time I tried to correct some mistake, three more would pop up  -  if I was lucky. Sometimes five would pop up, or something would go horribly deathly wrong and I'd have to roll back a save and thus lose who knows how much progress.

This week is a pterodactyl'y who's trying to fly off after making a meal of the bubbly monster, unfortunately his hefty meal ended up grounding him with its weight. He's not going anywhere for quite a while!

Was  messing around in Zbrush, struggling to do something other than just  sitting there being bored/distressed (It's been a very stressful week).  Still so much I don't understand,  but I did this much at least. 

Exported it out into Cinema 4D to  render the pictures, though something screwy was going on with the  perspective distortion  -  the settings on the camera and the viewport  didn't match up with what the ...
