Chocobo-RDZ says maw! (HR)

For  therdz3  of their 'sona in chocobo-form  giving a big gapey maw for the viewer  to admire.   Actually somewhat happy with how the saliva/drool turned  out - subtle, but effective :>

For various reasons, this has been postponned but I do have this much to share.  Extra scenes from the previous Snake PoV animation but with my friend Basil Sanguine as the lucky snake as well as including a full environment.  

There's a lot still to fix and it's unlikely I'll be able to get around to it any time soon - but I can't just leave these unseen on my harddrive either!

For   maundrill  of their dragon having been caught by my Chakaari,  who received just a  bit of an overhaul in design.  How Maundrill made it this close to the  plant before getting snared is a mystery~

Igny's Thanksgiving Dinner p1 (HR)

Gift for a friend doubling as a Thanksgiving Day piece.   Their fiery leviathan gobbled up a squad of hunters for the opening appetizer before turning his attention towards the Qurupeco that had been waiting on the dining table, all covered in a coating of Dragonfell Berry Sauce.  The hunters may not have been willing participants in this dinner, but the Qurupeco certainly seems to be!

There's four additional pages to this, which will come later.

Tobi and the Constrictor WIP

A thing I was working on for a while a few weeks back, but had to shelf because of some rigging problems that came up, and you can't mess with a character's rig in the middle of an animation.  I intended to return to it once they've been sorted out, but that's been sidelined just a bit xD

The original draft of the animation went by far too quickly (1st GIF) and had to be slowed down a significant amount in Resolve, making it look almost stop-motion. That was a major setback since e...

Anaconda renders

I'd used this model a few times with Cinema's native Physical render engine and with Vray some years back, but having moved to Octane I needed to recreate the shaders.  After some hours of tinkering this is what I got.  Still feel like tweaking some things though, particularly the Subsurface Scattering on its mouth, but its a good start.

Personally in hindsight I think the figure inside the snake could have been nudged a bit further back by just a small amount, so it'd still make a clear and notable bulge but look like its deeper inside the snake's throat rather than floating on the surface. Something to keep in mind next time!
