This is a bit of a random side project I've been slowly tinkering with. I normally like to use references, but sort of let this one unfold. This goes to show when you don't plan something, it can send you into hurdles. :P
I was having trouble deciding on specific outfits, pose, face expression, etc. I've been through more than the picture shows. Anyway, here's a struggled attempt at taking a crack at Daphne again. I'm sure many more attempts will be made. :D

This was a cooldown sketch I did after a night of cranking hard on the comic. I'm not really sure what I was after, but it's a bit of an inside joke with a group of people that seem to attribute boats with my characters, perhaps related to this pic:
Anyway... here's a seemingly grumpy Lily not amused at her situation. I'm mocking her. XD
As an early look, here's a few more finished shots from a new page. I did a couple tweaks on the mountains from the last post I made, as well as lots of light experimentation. I'm still figuring out new techniques, as well as which brushes work the best. It's just the learning process I suppose. :P

In a weird array of events this past night, I sorta just kept working on a scene out of the comic and went to full finish. It'll still probably be tweaked from here, but decided to make a mini postcard. It's been awhile since I've had an open shot of the valley, so here's the latest view. :D

Flat colors are beginning, as I'm closing in on finishing this new set of pages. It's amazing how much life is added just with the flats, though there will be LOTS of shading and polish on these in the end. Just giving an update, new locations, new plot developments. :D

During late nights of working on the comic, sometimes my mind drifts and goes into bizarro land. I tweaked a scene to see the effects of facial emotions and font while delivering the same line. I amuse myself when the insomnia sets in hehe.
This is not the actual dialogue if that wasn't obvious. XD

As one of my first pages to finish lining and prepping for color / polish, I wanted to let my patreons see the progress. Summer is always that time of year of traveling, BBQ's, camping, cookouts, blowing stuff up..... erh, ok that's just one day. :D

While I had a goal of completing 40 new pages by mid-October since I launched the comic, I realized what an ambitious goal that really was (gotta keep that buffer going). Anyway, here's a bunch of sketches pulled from pages that are still being finalized before polish and finish. So far I'm probably going to hit the 36 page area which isn't shabby I suppose, but more the merrier... without quality loss of course. XD

I know my subscriber base is small, but I also noticed some things right at the time this happened. Something happened with many users across Patreon where cards were declined and weren't being charged properly. They're apparently reaching out to everyone involved to explain. Obviously, this isn't fun for anyone, and you shouldn't need to change everything yourself when Patreon is to blame.
