I realized I didn't actually have THAT many progress shots, lmao.

HERE IT IS, all done!

Fun things about this picture: I actually did all the coloring on the characters on a single layer, because I really wanted them to come out softer and more painterly than my usual style, where I have cel shading and a separate layer for every single color, lmao.

WIP: grill party!

With the thumbnail done, it's time for inks!

Keeping the thumbnail visible but on really low transparency helped me visualize the final picture a little better as I was doing them.

For this picture, I wanted it to look very soft and painterly-- so rather than ink all the background details, I only gave detailed lineart to the characters (and snacks!) themselves.

Another WIP for the grill party commission-- for something requiring complex lighting like this, I decided to do a color thumbnail before actually starting on the final piece itself.

As yall can see, the trees from the Very Rough sketch didn't make it into the final composition!

So this is exciting-- I'm currently working on a commission for the delightful Hake Ferreto, a very involved full illustration!

I usually forget to upload WIPs here, but for this one since it's so complex, I thought it would be fun for yall to show you the separate stages bit by bit as this comes together!

This is the roughest of the rough-- a very quick sketch done just to establish all the different components of the picture.

And no, no matter what I did, I could not make Hypno any less horrifying.

I know I mentioned it in my last little announcement, but I want to reiterate how amazed I am at having reached the first Patreon goal within the first couple of months! I honestly didn't think it would happen for a really long time, and I've got all of you to thank for that!

The goal was to reach $100 a month, and the reward is for all patrons, whether they've pledged $1 or $40, to get to vote on what species of Pokemon a brand new addition to the cast should be!

Short June update!

Hey there everyone! 

Seeing as I just finished up the very first round of monthly patron rewards, I figured I'd give a little update. 

First of all, big thank you to everyone who's pledged recently, whether they were updating a pledge or joining anew! As a result, we actually met the first goal I set when I launched the account: when we reached $100 a month, I promised to introduce a new character to the cast of a Pokemon species that all patrons would get to vote on!
