This is the final to the current set of Space Ranger Solo scenarios. As such I thought I'd make this one super special! Michael has always been a favourite character of mine and generally I'd always draw him first in a themed series. This time drawing him last has meant that i get to apply my accumulated experience onto his piece - And i think it really shows!

Wow so I'm incredibly proud of this one! and it turned out incredibly well. I'm trying to add more split screen action in these videos so you can see the amount of effort and time spent to create an image. The recorded footage has been speeded up to 6253% to match the timelapse which takes about 1 screenshot ever 10 seconds.

So the second part of the commission has finally been signed off! Now unfortunately i could only get clearance to show some of the versions and not all of them! This in part is to protect the individuals depicted (they come as a trio and live in a fairly conservative part of the world.
Either way it is still a pretty awesome drawing so I'd very much like to share these with you guys!

Wow I totally enjoyed doing this drawing. I think the key to doing a good drawing is to not be afraid to redraw the entire thing multiple times. As you can see throughout the video, I'd redraw large portions of the drawing again and again.
Do you have a secret tip to drawing you'd like to share? I'd love to incorporate techniques from other artists.

Sorry for the delayed posts guys this week. I've managed to catch a really nasty stomach bug from contaminated food which left me bed (and toilet ! ) bound for the past 5 days. It was not fun, fortunately after the first 4 days of agony I was able to make it to the doctors and have since made a faster recovery thanks to the medicine I was prescribed. I'll have to admit i think that's the worst I've ever had it. And its great to finally be able to sit up and do some work.

I mean I absolutely love this piece because it coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the Alien Franchise! I remember watching it when i was a kid and having the life scared out of me. But as time went on I learnt to be more fascinated by the xenomorph more than anything else.
