Humans are legendary creatures, most only heard of them from old, forgotten books from the library, or from their grandparents, trying to get them to behave. It's pretty unbelievable to think that we'll ever see one in person. Not that anyone wants to. The Commander is kind of paranoid though, always expecting the worst. She always liked to scare her trainees with her horror stories.

Deep inside the Sacred Elven Woods, the inhabitants of a little, hidden village begin getting news about something large entering the Barrier, set up by the Spirits for their protection. It's probably a boar, wandering the woods, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Our human ran into a strange, watery feeling substance in the air, it slightly slowed him down, but he was able to continue escaping. In his desparation he probably didn't even notice that the goblins hunting him have stopped. But now he entered an area that might not be ready to accomodate him.

Long ago, in the ancient elven woods, a human is being chased. Goblins and humans usually get along fairly well, aside from some isolated incidents. The two groups really have to provoke each other in order for things to result in violence.
With Forest of Tides I'd like to venture into a more traditional fantasy story. I hope you'll enjoy the first few pages, after this, I resume work on A Tiny Secret, and continue Forest of Tides some other time.
