We're about halfway through production on the next episode right now, coming very soon to Nebula, coming a little while after that to YouTube.
If you watched to the end of the music biopics episode, you know this one is on legacy sequels. So if you want to prep for it and watch some movies we'll be talking about, here you go.

First, an apology: I should have made this before the video released on Nebula. Sorry about that. Our intern, Emil, reminded me that we should get back to doing viewing guides when appropriate.

I've been yelling about it to anyone who would listen for the entire year, so I figured it was finally time to make a video about Better Man, the insane, incredible monkey music biopic.
It's not JUST about Better Man, it's really about the past 6 years of the genre and the different ways it's evolved. It's kind of a sequel to our 2019 video on the subject.
But it's mostly about Better Man.

Documents movies!!!!
This honestly might be my favorite video of the year so far. It was so much fun revisiting all these movies (and watching a few I hadn't seen), and it presented so many fun opportunities for the narrative stuff and the visual style.
I have no idea how it's going to perform because it's not exactly a blockbuster topic, but I really hope people enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned at various points over the past five years that I had an idea for a James Bond video. I was actually planning to make it in May 2020 to time it to the originally-planned release of No Time to Die. And then that movie got delayed for obvious reasons and by the time it came out, I was busy making Night of the Coconut.
But in that time, the idea evolved, and so, finally, here it is.

I went to the Cannes Film Festival again! And this year, I actually managed to make the entire video about it before the festival is over! I'm honestly amazed I pulled this off.
It was a great time, I saw a bunch of good movies and drank a lot of wine a cappuccinos. And yes Tom Cruise was there.
