A little idea I had for some lighting today so I slapped this together this evening. It's not up to snuff but hey it was a fun experiment anyway. 

Enoki have a natural..tempting sort of charm to them. It can overcome certain individuals easily, or take a bit more work for others. Kai has many tricks for when her natural aura isn't quite enough.

XM Concept doodles

Re-hashing some old concepts from a friends universe. I've had these characters for over a decade and they've sorely needed a redesign. So this is Zhenya (purple) and Sytir (blue). Who are both Illumaran. A dragonlike species by my friend Kilara.

It's been really nice to revisit this universe as it's super nostalgic for me. Sytirs human design is mostly solid, but his outfit is really not done. I had more ideas for Zhenya's outfit but I need to do some reference searching for his. ...

Sketchbook Cover

Did this cover on my sketchbook for the Sketchbookproject. Done over yesterday evening and this morning. I originally didnt plan for an all yellow bg, but I fucked up and had to cover it somehow lmao.

I need to put a projective varnish over it so it doesn't wear down, since when this sketchbook is full I'll be sending it off to Brooklyn where it'll join millions of other sketchbooks in a library of art. If you live there or are visiting..I guess you'll be able to go look for it and hold...

Ok I'm done, promise. Now that the main trio have been doodled I'm satisfied. EXCEPT..I'm not happy with how Idate's dragon form came out, his silhouette isnt clear like the other two and its bothering me..but I have to just suck it up and let it be. Such is the nature of art! Can't dwell on this stuff, and I struggle a lot with trying to finish every sketch I do into a piece..

Gonna take what I messed up/learned and avoid it as best I can next time.

Self Indulgent Doodle pack 2

Havin' way too much fun, I can't seem to stop.

The big red scaly girl is actually the blue one that was covered in bandages in my previous pack. She was rescued and pumped full of uh..experimental stuff. Not sure if she was really saved or is living a better life as a lab rat.

I decided I'd doodle some OCs who havent seen the light of day in literal years, some since I was still in school T_T Lemme tell you I had the time of my life on these, even though theyre goofy and messy. 

The noodle dragon is called Taroh..he's a goofball, but getting to draw him again really made me able to update his simple design a bit. He was pretty boring before. Tachi (the other pink and black headshot) is his mute sister.

I think I liked the greyscale sketch more, and I failed on some aspects I got right in the sketch (like perspective...I personally think it looks like he's gonna bust all over the buster sword..which uh..wasnt what i was going for..was supposed to be like it's propped up next to him innocently while he takes care of himself..) but OHWELL the process was fun and that's the main thing.

Art Trade: Thumbnailing

A look at some super messy, rough thumbnails for an art trade with my friend Kikino!

 I had too many ideas so I did thumbnails, I like all of them for different reasons but I purposely wanted to do one with a background. And two of them didnt lend well to that. I'll likely go with the bottom right composition where she's asleep. It'll give me a chance to do some natural textures like moss, rock, grass and bark.

I don't like showing this part of it cause it's ugly as heck, and...
