Life has been busy this month but I'm happy to have found a clearing. Within this busy month I took a trip to Lake Geneva in Wisonsin to teach some classes and enjoy the nerdy things in life.

Let us discuss the colors that lie within us all once we are skinned and properly dry. This week we're having a look at how I painted them bones. Beyond creating a good looking bone, I'm also demonstrating how I applied a midtone after creating a progression, it was a fun twist on the usual order of operations. Enjoy!

Ahoy! This time we're taking a look at a modeling technique I've used from time to time. Casting your own models is a fun experiment, no matter how crude. This item was a challenge but smaller organic shapes are where this really shines, such as a small icon or gemstone you'd like to copy over to another figure.

Only recently have I developed an appreciation for decals. They're quick and with this approach, they don't look like gloss stickers on your meticulous paintjob.
