Total Force Comeback!

Okay, I am back to working on Rinets Quest. I will take this month as a warm up and try to clean up some stuff. There were issues when deploying the build, and since I was always in a hurry to kick it out of the door, I never fixed it. I think I can reduce the size of the project if I do so.

Another thing:

Someone pointed out to me that it has been 8 years since the first release.

Damn it.

Hey guys.

Long time no see, huh? In truth, I am always in discord, but I didn’t feel like posting because I didn’t have much to say.

My good news are those: As of this moment, my “Shadow Project is 99% done.”

More or less 100% of the dialogue is implemented, 100% of battle is working, 100% of enemies in the map, 100% of skills and animation, 6 of the 7 artworks are done and in the game, 95% of sound implementation and bug testing 90% maybe.

I’ve been mostly at home, working and WALKING 50min per day. It’s a chore. Now I will have the “final checkup” in ten days and if everything is alright… then everything is alright. LoL.

I Am Okay

Hello! I just wanted to tell you that I am already at home. Everything went well and I think I will be able to work regularly in maybe two weeks.

I can walk almost normally, but I have to go up/down stairs very slowly... also, I shouldn’t stay in same position (standing or sitting) for more than an hour at most. My lower back is still hurting a little bit and it itches a lot.

My physiotherapy will start next week (I think) because my left leg got weaker. It hurts when I do certa...

Health Issues

So, I am just leaving it here so you guys know what’s happening.

I'm going to have an operation (I don’t know if this is the right word in english for a medical procedure where they open you up). It’s going to be 20/1 and I am going to have to stay there some days.

Anyway, it’s not a really risky procedure, but we all know what happened to Monty Oun... right? So, wish me luck and I love you all.

It's almost done. I am waiting for the last HCG, then I will animate it and I can finally release the update. The rest is already done.

Yo, I just want to say that I am trying my best to give you this update on november.

The "Buck" Update.

- More Zack gameplay, so I can try to balance his level with Diana.

Here is the update:

There are 5 quests that are working.

1 > Buck’s quest.

2> Dhorn’s quest.

There is also na skill trainer now (you will see on the map), a new craft system and fishing.

You can’t advance to the feast, because there will be na intermediary quest now.

There were some issues in the remake that CAN’T be fixed unless you start a new game. Those things are the new combat system and the new resolution of the sprites.

The game SHOULD work even if you don’t start a new save from the beginning… but… well… you will notice strange things and the new battle system will not work.

Everyone is Animated

Everyone for the next update, at least. In the last post, I said it would take at LEAST ten more days and... It took eleven! I am so proud of myself for not screwing up.

Anyway, I just want to make point that this part is done. Now I will make the facesets and make the enmies have stats and yadayada. I will make a more detailed post in the next few days.

BTW, this is Alora, she will be the next... "romance" option. I hope you all like her.

New Resolution

Hey everyone... the new update is on it's way. The writting is done, the new maps are done, the battlers(enemy fighting animations) are done, but I still have to make the new map charsets... the ones that walk around you know?

Hey everyone!

I am just passing through to tell you the plan for the next update.

In the past, you were able to choose between three H-scenes in the prologue if you did their subsequent quests beforehand.

If you just rushed to Josh, you would stay alone during the feast. It sucked. Kinda.

So NOW there will be an “default” scene, that will happen if you choose to OR if you didn’t complete any other of the quests. It will be kind of… “default” H-scene.

Well... that was annoying.

I am sorry(again) for the lack of posts this month, I didn't want another "almost done", but I am glad because in the end, I got it done.

It's Near... Trust Me

BEHOLD! All those new charsets! It took a ton of time, but they are finally all done. Can you see how they have SLIGHTLY different heights? Yeah... that was annoying.

New Stuff:

- All the apprentices have their own battler, skills and weapons. You will be able to play with them in the new test. Sort of.

- Now the monsters will see you and chase you. If they touch your back (no more blocking them with party members, it doesn't work anymore) they will start the fight with and ...

The trend of new artwork continues. Sorry for the lack of updates, I think I skipped last monday.

I am focusing all my forces in the release. Next week (or maybe in some days) I will make a detailed post about what I need to kick the update out of the door.
