Personal Delays

Back Online to Backend Issues

UPDATE: BACK END ISSUES FIXED. PLEASE DISREGARD.

We have internet! I can access the back end. The problem is when I went to set the filters for sending out links, the tab closes before I can set a date range and doesn't apply the filters or save them when I reopen. I've sent a ticket to the helpdesk.

Link delays

Sorry all, the modem for our router died and I can't access the back end through the phone app, so I can't send out links. We're waiting on a new box from xfinity. They said it would be a couple of days at most but it's anyone's guess with the cable company.

Link Updates Live

Loss of Mac Support

It has come to our attention that our games no longer work on Mac, neither Flash files nor Unity. Because we don't have a system here to test with, it has become impossible to continue to program for Mac systems.

Please understand, that this is the LAST thing I wanted to happen, but my hand has been forced. This is between Apple and Flash/Unity. No one likes Flash, so that was a given at some point the support for Flash and Mac would go, but Unity has been removing support for more and ...

Major Game Update Announcement

There have been major updates happening behind the scenes with regard to all aspects of sound!

NPC Dialogue, conversations, scripted and interactive dialogue, ambient sounds, environmental events, radio stations, and much more are coming to Red Light District along with major core enhancements to the GUI, including functioning audio volume preferences and display resolution options.

Water Updates

I'm updating water shaders, textures, and dynamics in all areas of the Sapphire Islands to improve user performance. Wave patterns, weather, and tides are also planned.

Swimming mechanics and many more underwater biomes and explorable areas will be coming into play later in 2023.

There's so much more to these islands I've wanted to let everyone explore and with the new Unity build, it is becoming possible.

Breeze Island Docks Updates

I've been adding skiffs to several areas through the Sapphire Islands to accommodate fast travel. 

Fast Travel to Sapphire Bay, Breeze Island Docks, the Wetland Docks, and the Northern falls are planned for future updates, but the idea is there will be more going on at the docks than just fast travel.

Sapphire Forest Update

Between Unity 2017 and Unity 2022, the entire way that terrain and detailing are handled in the engine completely changed.

This offers many new and frankly better options for building up areas like forests and dense jungles without turning your GPU into a foreman grill.

This will allow for more secrets and hidden zones and make overall exploration a far richer experience.
