Yuko's gone all digital for Barbarous-- one of the things she'll do if she's drawing multiple overlapping figures is change up the pencil color so it's easier to keep track. Percy's neighbors are fun because they're meant to be kinetic and to overlap as often as possible.

This took a lot of planning! The figures were drawn on a separate layer than the background, and additionally Yuko had to be wary of the safe zones for print.

So you've probably noticed that we're working with Jones as a colorist! We wanted to share what part of that process is like. Each frame is about 5 seconds, so be sure to wait!
1. inks
2. very rough color blocking. Yuko does this for the first page of a scene-- the rest of the pages are more spare.
3. notes for Jones! these can get pretty comprehensive, and pretty repetitive...
