I'm not going to make it to MFF this year but I'm still finishing up all of Talin's sketch commissions.

Pose

I enjoy mixing up sex and gender. I unwisely used no reference for this so it's a little borked but, eh, it was just a doodle.

Turquoise Eyes

I could go on for days with a painting but I tend to cut them off after about eight hours of work. One day I'll make my Mona Lisa but no time soon :P 

Fall fox WIP

I did a lot of experimenting with different and new techniques with this one and it kind of went off the rails a bit! It began as a much more desaturated, purely normal acrylic painting, but when I started mixing in the acrylic ink things started to get very bright and crazy. Now I'm not sure how I want to color my fox. I'll have to mull on it :P

Blluuurgh this one gave me such trouble and I'm still not happy with it. I finished it and sent a scan to Aushi but I'm doing something else as well.

Newie (NewEnglander) is one of my favorite ever commissioners. He's always so positive and patient. He doesn't mind me trying for odd angles like this one.

Furpocalypse

As I may have mentioned, I was one of the artist Guests of Honor at Furpocalypse, a local (for me) convention in Connecticut. It was pretty good times but terribly exhausting. I'm rather glad it's over and I can get back to my regularly scheduled program!

My brother was visiting this past week and we had lots of larks in the northeast but he's gone back to Washington state and I'm going back to work :P

Oooops I forgot to scan and upload this. I had to scan post-matting. It seems to have scanned alright, though. Pshew. I hate to tear work out of mats.

Leftover Paint

Once I'm done with a painting that has its colors planned out I'll make a scribble and paint over it with what's left on the palette. It's a fun way to experiment with color and line and material. This one has some copper paint that doesn't show up well in scan but.. I guess you can see some of its metallic shininess.
