First tiny sneak-peek at the new game

It's not much but here's at least some proof that I'm actually working on a new game which might make some people happy :) There's a working inventory system including clothing and weapons, a health system and a skillpoints system. This is obviously pre-pre-pre alpha stuff so nothing is final: not the writing, not the UI, nothing. New project first details

Hi all! 

I get that last post might have been a big letdown for some. I have seen a few subs drop but surprisingly few. Thank you all for that.

About the future of MAiH

Hi! Love the amount of support I've received from everyone while taking a little break from this. Subscribers have continued to drip in (not even sure how people find my game at this point as I only post it on reddit) and only one guy got mad at me!

Cash code update

I removed the old cash codes for a reason. I wanted to update the system with just one code instead of having several. This one code would then include the cash from all previous months, so the amount would just get bigger and bigger each month. But then I forgot to actually do that. 

It's in now though! Use the following code to get 12 million personal cash, 25 million company cash ánd Felicity Jones' phone number (F for febraury, F for Felicity. Had to think of something). Will ...

Quick hotfix

Fixed some bugs and stuff. Will write a post straight away with an update on cash codes.

February gameplan

Hiya! Just wanted to give a quick update on what's the plan for this month:

First, I want a quick release of the full version. This will not have all the features I wanted but due to personal (mental) health I just want to get it out there for everyone so people can enjoy it. I'll be fixing the last major bugs and releasing it to the public.

Update on marriage, bedrooms and more

Sorry I haven't posted in a week! I had a few days off but also spent a few days working on stuff that wasn't really post-worthy yet :) Today I finished a first version of the proposal and marriage mechanics. I made a few new screenshots for you guys.

New movie creation

First: happy new year everyone! Now, let's get back to it:

A few days back I got a brilliant idea (if I may say so myself...). With these new profiles I added for all the girls in the game, I also added a "job" tab. At first I was only going to use this for small conversations, but then it dawned on me. I got an idea to automatically make every single actress in the game hirable for movies with a single code snippet.

- Starting wifes are gone

- Replacing them is a new screen where you select one of three previous jobs that give you a bonus in either cash, status or a starting relationship boost with a bunch of girls

- The intro now includes a party where you still get a chance to meet the previous starting wifes and get a little step up on the relationship with one of them

It's working so far!

So, yesterday the results of the poll were obvious and option 2 was unbeatable, so I started right away. Got myself a can of Monster like a true millenial and got to work. So far, it's going smoothly. Here's what's done so far:

Hi all! Wanted to give a quick update on things. The stuff I've been working on isn't really screenshot-worthy yet but do know that there's work being done! Concerts are mostly done and working, the buyable gym is working perfectly and the new show creation is done. The update will ship with dozens of new girls to hire for both shows and movies.

Show-creation redone + quick poll on movie making

Making some good progress again! I redid show making and made it a lot better, at least in my opinion. A quick recap:

- Recoded the way hiring works. You won't notice but for me it's a thousand times easier to add more girls now
- The story is a one-sentence thing for shows. You get a randomly generated one based on your genre, or you can write your own
- Rebalanced cost and success rate for each girl

First look: concerts

Been working on the concert feature again today. So far I got the following:

- Concert planning is now 100% done and working

- You can decide to make a concert film and release it on the streaming platform. This gains you subscribers but costs a few hundred grand up front.

- 7 days after ticket sales, it's concert night. Not fully realistic but trying to keep game pace at a fun speed

- At concert night you can go over to the venue and talk to fans (10 possible outcomes...

December plan + welcome new subs

Hi all!
Just wanted to tell you all what's happening this month. Currently I am going at a slow pace, enjoying a bit of time off the game after sinking many many hours into the last update. 

Meanwhile, I'm slowly working on the new concerts feature and starting on redoing movie making. I have a nice plan laid out based on a three-act system with two stars and a new feature in the form of a choice to include a sex scene in the movie :) Makes sense with the game's theme. Obviously...

I did a thing (concerts)

Soo, remember how I said I miiight add concerts if I got time left? Yeah, I kinda really wanted to add them, so I sort of did. It was actually quite easy as I copied most of the pron studio code and rewrote some of it, obviously. 

Right now it works like this:

1. You get to 25 company status and start the music division.
2. You pick a name for the music division and pick one of three managers, all lower level popstars (Maggie Lindemann, Carly Rae Jepsen or Sabrina Carpent...

Changelog 0.6.3 - Bugfixes

This will be the last bugfixing patch as I'm starting on 0.7 today. Any bugs that remain will have to be fixed in the 0.7 update.

Preparing for the next update

First of all, I want to thank everyone for the amazing positive feedback on the last update :) Everyone seems to be enjoying it and even though it was plagued with a few nasty bugs from the start, those are ironed out now and it seems to be mostly troublefree by now. There's one very small patch still coming but after that, I'm preparing for the next update.

I've been really enjoying putting together 0.6 and I actually found a healthier balance between the game and other aspects of life...
