Guild Wars added an option to replay some of its older content that was unavailable for 7 years, and I remembered that I actually made fanart of one of the characters at some point in the past. I went to search for it and found a bit of a hogspot of old sketches, most of which are unpublished. I had them printed out in a Sketchfiles minibook that I sold around conventions, but since that one is officially sold out for two years, I may as well post some of the more interesting pieces.

Shattered Legacy - Advanced Unlettered Preview

Since I finished all major works on this, have a teaser for an upcoming release, have my favorite page from it. Unlettered and all.

First comic finished after a long while feels... well, it would probably feel a bit better if it was more of a passion project, but perhaps it's what I needed - a good old-fashioned "you have to" commission to get my comic groove back on.

[Timelapse video] Soul in the Stone

It was interesting to work on this one - the only references we had for sand jackals back then were a few quick previews from the expansion presentation and I think 2 low-res reference pictures.

Chocoballs

A few months back, Kreittis was feeling down, and being one of my closest and dearest friends, he can ask me for anything that's within my power to raise his spirits.

JULY '19 WIP: Firetwins on holiday

July found me working exclusively with my "firetwins", Kirruak & Koruscar. First one is the result of a regular Saturday stream going awry (I wasn't sure what to work on, so I picked an old sketch idea and suddenly found myself at that some 5 hours later) and plays off an old idea of the boys spending quite a lot of time lurking around Town of Nolan.

It was also nice to draw some adolescent charr again, even though I usually get annoying comments about them not looking "charr-enough...

JUNE '19 WIP: Morhault & Tom updates

June saw me a bit busy over the remains of May's deadline binge. I basically just went for Morhault's old progress shot (remember that from my very first ANet stream?) and updated it a bit, finally sitting down enough to settle for a color palette and rendering all the revenant legend summons (poor Jalis though, stuck in the corner). Also finding out the nice thick clean linework I did will get painted over basically in its entirety because what is forward planning.

May '19 WIP: Gyrravain & Lambert's conscience

May saw me do an official ANet stream after a long while, and since it was shortly after the release of the final Living Story episode, so I went for the safe option and continued on the scaredevil & his unexpectedly branded jackal. So, partnership with ANet has led me to some very interesting things and opportunities this year. One of them being a chance to design a guild emblem for use in Guild Wars 2. You know. The actual videogame, MMO played by hundreds of thousands of people.
