2023-03-30 01:07:41 +0000 UTC View PostSitting in Circeâs kitchen, Rosalind did her best to copy the sigil just as the immortal witch had written it. It took a few attempts before she got it, but she did, in the end. Partially because it wasnât all that complex of a symbol. Two circles touching one another with a few bits sticking out of them. The trick was mostly about getting the circles round enough and the proportions right. Even then there was a bit of give.
Teddie watched, having s...

For the sequel, when they visit Brazil.
Illyxa may or may not go mad with power due to the added height.
Gragya, meanwhile, does have to admit itâs easier to kiss cute girls without the tusks. But prefers being green.
(Outfits based on google image results for Brazilian street fashion. But with more questionable sunglasses.)
2023-03-26 21:04:13 +0000 UTC View PostBoot camp was definitely an understatement of what followed. UkĂ©âel was spending every hour of the day on my lessons, taking advantage of the fact that neither of us needed sleep or food, myself being a goddess and her being a lich. Though she did need a sort of rest. A couple of hours a day of a ritual to restore her energies.
I was given those hours to train with Sukura, in one of the few places where the ceiling was high enough that I could stand. 2023-03-26 20:34:45 +0000 UTC View Post
Exiting the long tunnel at long last, the party were annoyed to find that it was dark out. Or, at least, nearly dark. There were some slight lingering signs of a setting sun off in the west, but that was fast vanishing.
What had a bigger effect on their moods, however, was the fact that this area was clearly far less dry than the deserted coast theyâd been walking along before. It was no lush jungle, but there were shrubs and grasses covering much...

Where was I?
The sky was a swirling mass of purple clouds, roiling and bubbling in a way I knew clouds shouldnât. Standing up, to take in my surroundings, things only got worse. The landscape around me was a nightmare. There were great structures that looked like the bones of giants. Rocks that were watching me with unsettlingly human ey...

And that was ignoring the ceiling that was too low for me to stand in, and had me sitting on a small chair in one corner. Yet, despite the claustrophobic sizing of it, the room was now filled with about two dozen mages all watching me intently. Most were older looking that UkĂ©âel (who was the closest thing to a familiar face in the room), with Dwarves and Halflings seeming the two...

Not the highest level of acting that sheâd ever seen, but enjoyable and better than most student groups could manage (or some theatre groups). There was a lean towards comedy, and not all of the women performing had the chops for it, but they were clearly having fun and that shone through to lead to laughter from the audiences that trickled in and out all morning.
Still, Olivia was fairly glad whe...

Basically just everyone wanting to know what âcuring the curseâ was going to mean. She, however, was feeling too giddy and excited to really stop and carry on much more of a text conversation. She was going to get her old face back. Her old life. Everything would be so much simpler again.

While she managed to spend some time socialising, the time taken up by rehearsals and practice left her with precious little of that. As had been obvious from the start, she needed rather a lot of help regarding dance, and she was incredibly thankful to Eliza for helping her so much with it. T...
2023-03-15 01:40:37 +0000 UTC View PostThe walk had been long, tiring, and rather boring. Ribbon cutting wasnât the most exciting thing in the world, but Svetlana had learned people liked it. There was always a crowd when she went to one.
Normally she wasnât thrilled about the crowd, since some of them seemed to stare at her like she was a zoo exhibit or something, rather than a person, but, hey, at least this ribbon was for something actually important. They needed to carry extra food for the trip, not much to hunt out there in the deserts, but that was doable. Especia...
