Hey hey everyone! Just letting you all know Im still alive but extremely busy with the start of the new year.
Here's a sneak peak on a patreon reward Im working for one of my patrons!
I went through like 3-4 different iterations just trying to get her to look right in that kind of lighting.
WHAT A JOURNEY. Im not even sure if Im done yet either!
Did a quick speedpaint of a street to keep my environment painting gears well oiled!
This was done entirely onto one layer, it was super risky but I liked how messy it actually came out! Made it look more raw.
Also welcome to 2018 everyone! I'll start contacting a few of you for your patreon rewards in the coming week :D

Had trouble drawing Zona in several different angles on draft so I decided to practice!
Helps to try out different emotions as well to see how close I can get them to match.
Basically gonna use this as a reference sheet now :o

She's a very big part of Zona's backstory! Something to do with being her mother o: Also my favorite part of her design is her iris scar!
Im also getting a very big itch to make the comic longer than 5 pages, there's so much stuff to show that Im starting to stress about "Oh god how much can I fit into one page" D:
I'm going at a page a day as of now for plotting out pages and drafting, but Im pretty sure colouring is going to take much much longer.<...

I've yet to fill in all text and I think Im leaving that for last, I've never written a full fledge comic before so Im kind of approaching this unorthodox like. Like from a story boarding perspective since I use to do those A LOT.

This really made me brush up on my environment painting skills and realize how lacking I've been. Also added in the blue streak Chloe has in the episode 3 trailer.
You guys get an early release for this! I'm planning on making this one public on release day for ep3 ;)

Even tho I get more of the final payout, you the patron are now paying an extra percentage base on the processing fee per artist you are supporting. I would have rather you have control over that rather than patreon taking the reigns from you. If you are unhappy by how much you are being charged for this, I completely understand if you choose to remove your pledge.

WIP Patreon pledge reward for @rowanred81! I messed around with so many ways to draw smoke but none of them came out like it fit with the overall look so I tried something different. Smoke with sharp edges, came out surprisingly alright hmmm :|
P.S. The Untold Saga of Zona has been chosen via Poll for the Comic! I didn't expect this one to actually win the poll tbh! We'll see how it goes as the months come on and I'm hoping to get 2 WIP pages done by the end of October!
She's done! I loved painting her but it also made me aware I need to work on the way I do skintones. :P
