KINDRED - Chapter 26 / Epilogue

I hardly know what to say, ending this one.  It's. . . been a journey.

I started this story back in Summer 2019, after an extremely difficult year, when I was at my lowest.  I wanted to write something hopeful, something different than my other novels, while still fitting into the imperfect fabric of the world I've constructed.  I hope this story brightened some lives, especially given the troubles we're all now experiencing.

I've been doing an overall edit of the manuscript, and this file has a lot of pretty serious edits in it, including new dialogue and added pieces in a LOT of chapters.  I'm obviously not asking you all to re-read, but in case anyone wants to, I wanted to make this available.

Also, the first part of Chapter 25, 'The Canal Street Riot', is included in this version of the manuscript.  So, new stuff too.

Kindred - Chap. 24 Part 1 - 'Leverage'

I don't normally do this, but I'm releasing the first part of the next chapter with no real editing.  I had been told by a few folks reading this that the story was beginning to give them real-world anxiety.  While this chapter won't necessarily alleviate any of that, (in fact it's pretty dark, fair warning) I'm hoping at least getting a bit further in the story will make it clear where things are headed, and why the events of last chapter happened.

KINDRED - Chapter 22

I think this chapter is probably both the highest and lowest point in the story for Finnegan's character arc, in particular.  It's also another character's first appearance, which was probably a risky move for me, introducing him so late. . . but necessary, for this particular story.

LOTS of stuff in this chapter.  It's a real doozy.  I'd love some reactions, critiques, anything.
