Monthly Minis: October 2019 British Soldier WiP

Hello friends!

More models heading to you in October!  Community request Anglo-Zulu British Soldier. So, I am looking at trying to do more Community requests if there is no suitable theme that will go with the main modeling project. 

For instance, The Vikings release will include Viking minis to go with the Viking theme. I won't be able to do a lot of variations, but I will do my best to fit in as many as I can. 

But months that don't have a strong minis theme...

Monthly Model: October 2019: Noble's House/manor WIP

Hello friends!

This month's release is the noble's house/manor. I have made the main house as a somewhat fortified manor. The whole set will comprise of the main house, tower/barracks, and a small chapel.

This stage I am just blocking out the scale and form of the buildings. details and textures will be added at a later stage. For now, I am just making sure nothing gets too large!

In addition to this month, I will be making dungeon tiles that represent the walls and flooring...

Looks like we've got interesting releases for November! Vikings and Modern/post apoc/cyberpunk have shared the spoils from the poll.

So, what does this mean?? Well, it just means you well get terrain that will cover both themes.  Now, unfortunately, that may mean you don't get as much per theme, but at least you will get enough to get your printer going until the next poll!

Squidship delivery - this weekend! - and voting suggestions

Hello friends! 

Firstly, I would like to offer my sincere apologies for the slow delivery of this month's main model. Suffice to say it has been a tremendous challenge for me to model this ship. I have learned a lot, but I had wished to have this delivered to you early than this!

I really wanted to do this model justice and worked on the interior adding pipes and console panels. I just need to add a tiny bit more to some areas. But I promise that it will be available for down...

September 2019: Mind Flayer Squidship (ver. sub) WiP

I had the most riveting evening... so many rivets! Thank goodness I'm back to brick and timber next month, haha!

I promise you folks, I did not realise this was big (well playable area is actually smaller than the merchant ship).

The squidship is made up of 2 decks plus command deck. I will have a wooden hull version with open topped upper decks for the sea bearing squidship.

September 2019: Mind Flayer warship crew pack 1

I've just sent will be sending these ladies to the printer to check the strength of the joints. As soon as I see that they're ok, I will be releasing the first pack Monday or Tuesday.

August 2019: Rural Expansion Pack 3 released

Hey everyone!

I've just uploaded the (possibly) last pack for this month. It contains ruins for a building, a stone shed, some stone walls and wooden fence, and a scarecrow (does anybody recognise it? :))

I have also added the scarecrow to the minis folder to be available to after this month's release.

I have also added a fairy and armoured bear to the minis folder.

Feedback request

Hi folks!
I've been think recently about how I could improve my models for your tabletop and your games.
When I design buildings, I try to get close to what I think is real life scale. However, I feel this can make for pretty big buildings - the windmill for instance.
How do you use the buildings in your games? As scatter or does your party have the opportunity to use the internal spaces?

August Rural Expansion - Barn ready!

Hey folks! 

The rural barn has been added to the August 2019 folder on dropbox (I will send out DTRPG link at the end of the month). There are a few options for you to choose from. I have two different  style of roof tiles and two different flagstones. I have also included a hayloft you've asked for!

August 2019: Rural Expansion Pack 1 ready!

Hey everyone! 

I have just uploaded the first of this month's model onto Dropbox (link to follow). For our first pack we have a windmill with attached (or alternatively separate) house. 

The current model uses pegs to connect each floor. I will be doing magnet options but I wanted to check with you all what dimensions you would prefer the magnet slots? Looking at the model, I can fit in a 4x2mm circular magnet comfortably. What are peoples preferences?

Winner, Winner!

We have had a few popular suggestions from this month's poll. I think i will add them to next month's for sure! I know some of you really want the Illithid ship and crew! So maybe it will win next time!

As for the next theme, we are going to be making some expansion rural buildings. I have in mind a farm house, windmill, rural peasant's hovel and maybe a circular ruined watchtower which has been partly rebuild as a shelter for someone.

July Main Project - Suggestions now open!

Hi friends!

It's almost the end of the month (where did May go?) So modelling project now open for suggestions.

I still have a couple more models for release this month along with long awaited fixes for the harbour - sleep is for the weak! 😢😭 haha
