Rock n' Roll (Fullbody Render Commission)

Just Nova (Halfbody Render Commission)

I messed around a bit with how I set up the lighting/shadows in this one, trying various methods to see what works best. One of the main things that I did differently here was figure out the shadows BEFORE I colored everything in. That certainly helped with figuring out them out, but I still gotta fiddle with the process I think.

One of the main things I battled with during the process of this one was trying to figure out how much rendering is "too much", you know? Kind of like how you can overcook food, I do have a tendency to add TOO much stuff when it comes to the rendering proces...

PNGTuber Commission

You know I didn't expect anybody to want me to make something like this for them, but I suppose it makes sense in hindsight. Never made a PNGTuber before so this was fun to do. One day I'll have to figure out VTuber rigging, if only just for the sake of knowing how.

Something that I actually discovered while making this about my process is that if I sort of "pencil out" the final linework with a super-thin brush, then go over them with a thicker brush where needed, I can get through the...

NSFW - Break Time (Flat Colors Commission)

A spicy comm for @Vuxorem over on Twitter, featuring his OCs all having a jolly good time by the looks of it.

This one was pretty tricky for me, it taught me that I need to practice the physics of characters interacting with each other more as I had a rough time initially figuring out the pose. Regardless I think it turned out way better than I thought it would, so a win's a win in my book.

Ivy Commission

Another commission down, this one of Ivy, an OC by @HDIFarraway over on Twitter. This is the first of a group of commissions that I've got in the pipeline, so boy howdy do I have work to do.

To be completely honest I wasn't expecting to already have a good amount of work thrown at me so my plans to do various sketches and other drawings have been slightly disrupted. I'm gonna have to adapt and find a balance between working on these and my own stuff, that's for damn sure.

NSFW - Abandoned Animations

Here's a little behind the scenes for you: A couple NSFW animations I had started working on but abandoned, one being Hornet from Hollow Knight and the other being a fan animation for @SomeMotherF on Twitter of their OC Fifi. I stopped working on both of these a good while ago, but I'm very tempted to rework the ideas.

The hornet animation I ended up abandoning because honestly it was not only taking far too long for me to figure stuff out on it, but also I couldn't quite get her breast...

Faygo Commission

First commission done for @foxtoad over on Twitter., and hopefully not the last. This didn't take too long to do either so I suppose it's good to know that when it comes down to brass tax I can actually focus and get stuff done. Learning stuff about myself with every drawing.

Also with this drawing I have learned that I really like to draw folds in clothing, but I can already see that I need to practice and study that stuff more. Gonna have to do a bunch of research on that.

Commission Examples

Alright, got these two sorted out and made public commissions live. We'll see how it goes.

The rendering method for these is relatively simple, but decently effective I think. The headshot example file is a bit messier in terms of layers compared to the halfbody example, but hopefully it all makes sense to those that like to check that stuff out.

Also I realized the workaround for uploading big project files is to compress them all into a .ZIP file. Why I didn't think of this befo...

Commission Example Roughs

Since I'm starting up public commissions soon I figured I should have some examples for what to expect. While I'm going to provide headshots, halfbody and fullbody shots, I already have plenty of fullbody examples so I don't really have to do anything extra about that. Project files will be provided for the headshot and halfbody examples once I finish them.

Also a fun fact: The catgirl in the headshot example is actually a character I drew before for a christmas drawing on my NSFW twitt...

NSFW - Kaeru Battle Fatigue Rough

Brainstorming a "relatively tame" spicy Kaeru thing, Kaeru being that frog ninja lady I drew a little while ago. She goes through a lot of battles with crazy demons and monsters, so she needs a break at the hot spring every now and then.

This is probably going to be the first ACTUAL drawing that I use something like Blender to set up a basic environment to use as a reference for lighting and perspective, with this rough being a starting point. I can attach the blender file as a bonus if...
