This includes near full function of melee combat! Just some bugs to patch and balance tweaks to be made (The drake will not be so easily interrupted in attacks, but may have less health to compensate). Made numerous other tweaks and improvements as well - see the included changelog for a full list.

First of all, I wanted to thank all of my new patrons!! It makes me super happy to see this page growing the way it is - if it keeps up, before too long I really will be able to work full time on this game which would be pretty phenomenal :D
In other related news, thank you all for your patience waiting for updates! I've been building steam working on this as my time becomes more open again with the school year finally ending, so I'm hoping for some serious progress to be made over ...

FINALLY have a beta build ready for you all to play! Still lotta work to be done, but the basics of melee and its functionality have been added. You can probably expect much more frequent beta build updates again now that there is something substantial in and working.

Another beta build here - tweaked several numbers for momentum, added formulas to properly track animation speed while running (animation speed will match actual speed), and added a few new sprites for braking/sliding, and fixed several bugs. See the included changelog for a full list of changes!

Here's the progress on the newest update for momentum! The Beta builds will also include access to the testing room that I use when working on the game and various other stats - in this build 4 numbers are listed at the top left, standing for current max speed, current speed, and "braking" true/false (say for holding right while sliding left) respectively.
Keep in mind beta builds are likely to be rather buggy! Be sure to report any bugs you find either here or in the bug reporting chan...
