A Little *ahem* BEHIND the Scenes

I was able to squeeze in a shoot with Jamie T Photography while here. I first worked with Jamie in Oxford while visiting London a few years ago. We also shot in Vegas a couple times,  but I haven't seen him in well over a year. Maybe two! 😳 The shots we got look great! We shot one outside on the patio which looks very "LA" and one inside that more artistic/beauty portrait. I'm excited to see both. 😁

Producers Ball

Friday night was soooo much fun at Producers Ball! This was the main reason we came to Toronto. I ended up going with a latex skirt made my Etiquette Latex because the shop I was going to go with here didn't end up panning out. JD wore an all pink suit and we got tons of compliments. I can't wait to get all the professional images to share those too. It's always nice to have better lighting. 😉

Frustrations of the Interwebz

I've been trying to post here all weekend and nothing will go through. I just realized last night that some of the other posts I'd made on Thurs  and Fri haven't gone up. Trying again meow! 

Holy Smokes

I went to shoot today with the intention of shooting 2 looks and then heading home to pack. Then I ended up doing 4. 😜 Rachael (of Radiant Inc) made a good point that we don't get to shoot often, so we made the most of it.

I'm on a plane now, heading to LA to then catch our flight to Toronto. Exhaustion is pretty much right on my tail after the 45 minutes of sleep I got. Saying I'm sick of traveling doesn't even begin to encompass how I feel. Lol. I'm home for 4 days after this trip, ...

Labor Day Cleaning Attire

Decided to be cute if I'm gonna be home cleaning all day. 😁

I was planning to do a few more beauty looks today, but my, oh my, I'm in nesting mode. As I've been unpacking and doing laundry, I've been reorganizing and clearing things out. I didn't see this need to sort coming, and it's totally taken over! 😱 Hopefully I can get it to chill out by tonight for a decent bed time.

Finally, I am home. After a 2.5 hour+ delay last night I wasn't quite sure it was going to happen. I finally got home around 2:30/3 AM. I am pooped today. Might go back to sleep for a bit. ;) 

My cold is better, but still lingering. I truly think that had I not been on set this week I would be 100% better already. It was unusually hot in LA this week, with yesterday being over 10...

Can't Escape the Cold

Of course, 20+ hours of recycled air on crowded planes can't be healthy. And I got a cold. I went to be around 11 last night and slept until 5 PM, waking up a couple times for 1-2 hours then going back to sleep. I feel much better after all the rest and I've been loading up on natural remedies like the picture above. Fortunately, we have a late start tomorrow so I don't have to be up until almost 9 AM! So excited to don't have my normal alarm time set for 5:15-6 AM. 😁

Gah. I have soooooo much content coming! I probably won't be able to share any of it until I get back on the 27th because service will be spotty, but it's good stuff!

I'm pretty nervous about this trip. Never have really been nervous about traveling before, but with the unrest around the election in Kenya this month and finding out how much many men look down on women there...eeek. I'm like a walking target with my hair, so I brought head scarves and lots of unflattering, neutral colored...

I haz a question for YOU!

So, I made the switch over to Pixieset because I really liked that it was a nicer layout and better viewing experience. However, in light of my insanely busy schedule, I am debating switching back over to Dropbox. I want to share more of my travel photos and such with all of you, but having to upload from my phone, then download to my laptop, then upload to Pixieset is kind of a hassle. We shot this during Viva Las Vegas weekend in April. I was doing makeup and hair for Chelsea of Tragic Glamour (photography). Going between styling and touching up during shoots makes it very difficult to get behind the scenes shots, so I had Alli come to help out. BUMmed with Roxi D'Lite

I'm really sad to be leaving Cancun today. It's been so incredible to actually have had a full, real vacation. I somehow even managed to keep work to a bare minimum! Speaking of bare, we so happened to find nude beach! Okay, okay....you know me well enough to know that I planned to have some naked sun time. 🙃 Fortunately we ran into Roxi and she enjoys the nude beaches as much as I do.
