Glamour 0.52.1

Today we are releasing 0.52.1. As you might know from the previous post, 0.52 will be split between three parts, they will be released as soon as they are done, hopefully within a couple of days of each other.

The first part is about the size of our usual update, it has 145 images, 530 event steps (every step is an image and either one line of text, or a small dialog between multiple characters).

October is almost up, and it's time for another release. 0.52 is shaping up even bigger than we planned, it has over 300 images and dozens of events. And while it is over 90% done, we won't be able to release it tomorrow.

0.52 progress report

0.52 is well underway. It is shaping up to be our biggest update by a wide margin. It already has twice as many images as our usual update, and we still have stuff to render.

Progress report

We have a good news bad news situation here. The good news is it wasn't monkey pox. It was, however, covid. Thankfully, it's more or less over, the cough is the only symptom I still have. And while I am currently fine, I was too sick to finish the update in time.

So the bad news is there won't be an update in September. We apologize for the delay, and to make up for it, we plan to release one of our biggest updates ever in October.

Here's what we're planning:

• Lisa will start visiting Veronica's place for private tutoring.

0.51 is out. Since 0.50 was released in early August, we didn't have as much time as we usually do, so it's a bit on a smaller side. It is, however, really important for the main story since Max finally starts to realize the college might not be as peachy as he imagined and what he got himself into.

Our plans for 0.51

We've spent a good chunk of August on 0.50, so our next update will be on a smaller side. Hopefully.

It will be focused on Max and there won't be any polls because it's about time Max finally has a serious conversation with Karen. The update will be focused on the college story. Max will get to make a choice with some consequences. We won't be branching the story in any major ways, but Max will get to have a bit of agency in individual events.

Glamour 0.50

We can finally say the work on 0.50 is done and you can play the update. If you don't already have the game on your device, the download link will be available in the next post. Kate updates keep taking a lot of our time and this one is not an exception.

You won't need to finish everything from the previous update, but you will still need certain progress with Max. You can check the quest log for more details.

A small delay

We won't be able to release 0.50 in July. We will try to release it as early as possible, hopefully early August.

0.51 will be focused on Max, and it will be on a smaller side, so we're hoping to release it in August.

The update is progressing slower than we were hoping, but 0.50 should come out soon.

0.50 progress report

Originally, we were aiming to make 0.50 on a smaller side. But, as it often happens, the update is going to be bigger than we were originally planning.

Kate's updates have been less frequent recently, so we didn't want to make her update too small. Plus, the cheerleading squad has been teased for a long, long time, so we decided to make 0.50 a big one.

0.50 poll results

Most of our Patrons have voted for the cheerleading squad as the main focus for 0.50.

We're going to implement the cheerleading practice in Kate's schedule. It will happen during PE when the guys are playing basketball.

To spice it up, the ladies will have specific uniform requirements. On top of that, Angela loves her little tests way too much to let them go.

Glamour 0.49

We've tried to make 0.49 a smaller update and half succeeded. Size-wise, it's about as big as our usual update, but it only took us three weeks to make. So the best of both worlds, really.

Right now, villa residents have a money problem and they need to find a way to pay their bills. Kira only knows one way to make money, which she can't do because she is restricted by the non-compete clause. Luckily, Alice has no such restrictions and is willing to pick up the slack. 0.49 is almost done and if everything goes well, it should come out tomorrow. The update turned out to be bigger than we planned, it's basically the size of a normal update, somehow. However, the important metric is the fact that we made is faster than usual, just like we aimed.

Glamour 0.48

0.48 is finally done. Originally it was supposed to be a second half of 0.47, but not only 0.48 ended up being bigger than 0.47, it's actually one of the biggest Glamour updates we've made so far.
