Here are step-by-step images of page 5. It was fun to draw Taloupe being in his element. And doing expressions here. Tanrine's nail biting is probably my fave little detail.
I also included better look at the nectar insects I used on this page. Interestingly, I had made these sketches months ago but didn't do much with them. They came really handy here! Sketch dump also includes water nectar spider and its web full of nectar droplets, inspired of spider webs after rain.

Taloupe tells us about nectar insects, who have been fused with the nectar. They are one of the biggest sources of nectar, but can be very dangerous if grown big. Thankfully this world is safe. (also hey Angelo)

As I've been working on the comic, and drawing both Marian and Tanrine a lot, I've been thinking about how to draw their hairs. I still feel they are similar. I got inspired when I saw a cute bandanna style so I tried that on Tanrine, as seen in the first sketch. But the bangs do look cuter on her.
I tried Marian with longer hair for fun. And with more curly hair, which was pretty cute.

As I pondered on my BUP tumblr page, I should repost some of the BUP art from the old patreon tumblr. I went through the blog and here's some of my favorites.
Bottle designs of each character + how they wear them tho this is no longer canon for the most parts.

Most fun part of this page was designing the portal to the new world. I put a rainbow gradient on saturation layer on top of it (and Whinter) to really emphasize the color, hehe.

When I had this scene written out in my script, I was heavily wondering how I wanted to do it. Make it regular page size (and upload all of them together) or make one big page. I decided to go with one big page, so the stained glass could keep going and make a big story image.

Sealing sources of nectar into bottles and created four races, Marble, Mirror, Crystal and Glass. I've been sketching BUP Elizabeth recently and trying to figure out her hairstyle. I came out with this and liked it enough to make a proper digital drawing, so enjoy BUP Elizabeth (previously a vespiquen character from my Random Doom pokemon series for those who are not familiar with her)
Her design might change a bit since it's gonna be a while till she appears in the comic but the idea is here.
