I did mention I'd do more Mermaid AU stuff, and I did. Oh Arnick, Tetrox plotted this all.

So here we meet rest of Tetrox's pirate crew. And the other mermaids.

I made Marian a yellowfin tuna. I said I don't see her being any tropical fish, but something strong. And tunas are strong motherfukers. Yellowfins are also quite pretty. 

Daisy... I just looked up some green colored betta fish... Might consider something else for her, if I do more of this.

Coming Back From Holiday This Weekend

Hello folks! I literally only now realized it's July today.

I am still on my holiday, but I'll be coming back this weekend, Saturday to be spesific. I would also love to do a stream that day if I can. 

This means I won't be really able to start working on commissions until Sunday.

So commissioners, don't worry about sending your requests as soon as possible. I'll send a message to you all when I'm ready to work on them. More than likely on Sunday.

You were expecting a fully original Tanrine and Logan chapter? Too bad! It was I, "A Brush Fixed With Love" in disguise!

Jokes aside, while the chapter turns a bit familiar from this point onward, it's still like 80% new stuff. I put a lot more stuff into this version.

.... Oh god, Logan is even doing the Dio pose there when he reveals this chapter is remix of the old comic... I swear this was not intentional.

CH8 ARH Page 6 - Step By Step

A mood page with no dialog. It's fun to do pages like these and show emotion thorough just expressions. 

This is also a page I could totally see animated. I've said it  before but that is how I sketch my pages. I see the scene as an animation in my head and I "screenshot" the most important shots and make a comic out of it. This helps me a lot with deciding camera shots.

I told myself I'd remember to post this after stream. I did not remember...

Well, here it is today! Something simple and cute with Jonquil and Daisy. Inspired of my own exercise antics. 

Jonquil loves fast food and sweet treats. Those are one reason he keeps exercising to stay fit and somedays he has to tell himself to not eat anything sweet. Looks like he asked Daisy's help to keep him in check. She's happy to eat any treats you're not supposed to.

A simple page purely made for the joke and Akira reference. But it's one of my favorites, haha. Happy how the bike slide panel came out.

This is one of the few times where I copy paste the lines. I prefer drawing the lines as often as possible, but for gags where very little changes between the panels, copy pasting works and enhances the joke.

Announcement About Summer

Hello! I'm here to make a quick announcement about summer.

I am planning to take a Midsummer holiday on June, starting 19th day. And after learning some stuff from my Christmas holiday, instead of putting BUP on a hiatus, I will instead slow the update flow a bit.

BUP will update every other week in June and July.

This way I can take a break and a have a bit more relaxing summer, which is my favorite season and I'd like to enjoy it.

I am having lot of fun with expressions on this chapter. Tanrine is fun to draw. 

You can also see from sketch that I am pretty loose with sketching the scooter. Which I thought I'd kick past myself when I started lining, but like I said on previous page, the scooter is surprisingly painless to draw. Good thing it's so cartoony naturally.

Fun fact, the bus stop sign is based on Finnish bus stop sign.

I told long ago that I had plans to implement Tanrine's new hairstyle into the story and here I did. So this exchange between Tanrine and Logan was added purely thanks to that. Well, it's cute so no complains.

CH8 ARH Cover & Page 1 - Step By Step

Here is progress of the cover and page 1 of the new chapter.

With this chapter, I started being more colorful with my pages again. So I'm using a tiny hint of reddish pink over the characters (on hard light layer mode) and my trademark rainbow gradient on saturation layer mode. I admit, it makes this page quite red, but I think it's due to the red brick wall, haha. The following pages look a bit more balanced. Comic making is continuous testing and experimenting. At least for me, cough....
