You would think that if Im always drawing samurai for work, I wouldnt do it on my free time. haha. Still fun to draw up though. Since what I do for work is pretty much a simple kimono, I wanted to go a little crazier but ended up coming out a bit plain. Ill keep this in mind the next time.

Sorry for the lack of updates this month. I fell behind on work this month and went into crunch for the last two weeks. On top of that, Im in the middle of applying for my renewal visa in Japan which is also time consuming.
I wanted to put out another digital book this month but I didnt have the time. Im shooting to put it out in August so anybody who supported in July will also receive the book.

May was a pretty busy month. Had two buddies visit at the end of April to mid-May and we all went to Kyoto and Osaka. Always great to hang with them. A week and a half after they left, my dad came to Japan and he just went back today. Cant believe I finished my deadlines last month. I finished everything on May 31st past 11:30pm haha.
Good god, already almost half the year is over....

Same character done a few months ago but a little different. Before she had a bat but after doing a few roughs, the commissioner told me he changed her to hand-to-hand combat.
Sometimes its hard to be honest with some of the designs I get for commissions, especially when someone is paying you to do their designs. But this is one character I would love to see with a little more interesting things on her outfit.
