Art for this month - status!

So I was in CA for my fiance's graduation ceremony, however don't fret - art is coming soon!

and to those that remember, I am still working on my dragon picture that I've posted previews of! I hope to have it finished by the 30th.

Day 20 - Eucladoceros

This one was actually done before Day 19 but as you can see, wayyyy less detail and more of a rougher sketch. Also, this animal is extinct so I had to use what I've learned so far to 'make up' a deer. :) They are often depicted as more broad and long-faced like elk rather than a tiny deer. Interesting creatures :D

Day 19 - Muntjac

This one took me a minute, I haven't produced art much the last few weeks. My boyfriend's graduation is coming up shortly so I maybe be "silent" on here from the 16-22nd of this month. :) but I'll return with more art! I still plan to finish deercember, since I want to get the full span of learning deer anatomy the best I can.

Also, I did use reference for this - I copied the pose, however it was experimental for me in learning fur direction and length, ect.. it was a fun lea...

Dagny - unfinished

I started this in October but haven't gotten around to finishing it - and I just replaced my computer and haven't yet pulled all the old projects off my other hard drive, so here's some wip shots for you~ also, she'd been renamed finally :)

Her original name was 'Hisako' but I decided a name with less anime-weaboo in it was needed, since she is a very old character - she's been around since 2001! I'll be posting the first pic I ever did of her versus a today's look this comin...

So I have a working computer again, just gotta get everything installed and I'll be back to working on Deercember!

So my computer's motherboard crapped out momentarily so it may be a few days before I'm back up and running - still working on Deercember! Thanks for waiting.

Above is a phone pic of a species I'm working on, no official name yet but been in the works for a while, just now getting around to really working out the kinks. 😄 the have a lot of canine/cervine characteristics, still working out variation between the sexes and individuals. Day 19 WiP

Just a rough of how I sketch; the first stage mostly consists of shapes while I flesh out details. Here I have erased the rough shapes mostly, and started contouring the musculature. 

I have attached the photo I'm using for reference, but please be aware I reference many photos at once for these, rather than sampling all my anatomy from just one. :)

I think this Deercember month has been good for my deer drawing skills; at the beginning of this I had no idea how terrible I was at drawing deer. lol I am learning their anatomy the more I draw them.

I got a tooth removed on Tuesday so.. been a little out of commission for a few days. It seems to be healing though and I can't stand bedrest anymore! So I'm back to drawing.. Updates later tonight! :)

viral dragon

Here's the first month wallpaper! Thank you for your patronage <3 

As a bit of backstory on this piece; this is a dragon similar in form to a drake, and while semi-strange looking, it does have wings, however they are often tucked in and very fragile when they are open as I figure this species of dragon is more of a gliding-type over flapping. They prefer to run long distances rather than sustain flight.

I am excited to create more and share it with you. :)
