A new version of the demo is out, 0.1.4, which will hopefully clear up most of the issues I've become aware of. The most pressing are being able to run up the mountain in 3rd person mode and being able to move mid-air while jumping.

Hey guys, I've been working on an update I figured would be out by now, but the terrain it taking longer than expected. I'm completely remaking the village and layout with a lot more cliffs. It's way more vertical now. You can also die if you slip. Fixed some (major) bugs too. And added moonjumping. Should be out tomorrow morning

I really screwed up with Buzz-saw Blood House this month. It got tied up in development hell. Honestly, it should have taken two weeks at most to wrap everything up and things were going pretty good: the chatroom, the intro, the new menus were all nice additions. But then I went off the rails thinking the game needed new puzzles, more killers, survival horror sections and it turned into a complete mess. Some updates: Every death gives you a new character to play as. At least changing your name, hair style and color.
And a new 'document system' in quotes because they aren't exactly documents. I'm trying to avoid subtitles and dialogue in the game to keep the computer system feel, so the documents you find are in the form of text files you read in a popup window.

BSBH is still moving forward but is taking longer than anticipated. UI design is the worse part for me.
Anyways based on playtesting it's clear a simple fixed camera platformer isn't exactly what anybody wants. The platforming will still be a major part of the gameplay, but the final version will focus just as much on horror. I'm hoping to double the map size, adding more desolate areas, back rooms, puzzles and secrets.

My cutscene making method is pretty tedious. I basically assemble everything in a FSM graph. So I'm considering trying out Unity Timeline. Maybe in combination with an FSM for the dialogue. All audio and visuals are there but the timeline pauses for dialogue. That might get a bit convoluted. Maybe I can step the dialogue directly from there?

So I've been working on this, hoping to get it totally finished and out of the way before returning to Night Ripper. Target date is 11/18.
