Like the gothic feel. I think it matches the game pretty well. Even talking it in more of a Psycho direction.

I'm actually been working on fixing models and setting thing ups so I can redesign (or at least improve) the environments. Not too exciting, but some things I've done
Fixed the pivot and hierarchy on over 100 models. Very tedious and time consuming, but it's going to speed things up later when I'm decorating the scenes. I want to basically paint all the furniture into the environment.

Trying a few different looks for the game. Guess I'll call this the murder house version. Sightly Argento inspired (Inferno, Phenomena), maybe some Clock Tower & House of the Devil. Figure I'll have the windows get darker as you play or maybe change red towards the end.
Also tried doing an asylum look to the game but I think I underestimated the amount of work it would take to look good. A hospital requires an insane amount of detail.

I showed this game off a bit last year and then it kind of disappeared. Starting and stopping things is a problem I'm working on correcting.
I put it on hold for a while because it's so complicated to develop. The stealth + inventory + puzzles + cutscenes and voiceovers just became too much for me to handle by myself at the moment.
Basically it came down to either working on this for 2 more years or putting it aside to do a simpler game first (which is Meat Cleaver Mutilator).

Thanks a lot for your pre-orders! So how I'll basically be handling them:
Pre-order goes towards one full game plus any shorter games I make in the mean time. Power Drill Massacre (full version) and Meat Cleaver Mutilator are shorter games, while something like Texas Butcher is a full length.

Pulling MCM out again since I'm kind of making it public and want to make some updates. Here's what I have in mind

- New main character (current character went into the hotel game)

This probably isn't the most exciting update but the tiny, mundane details can be the most time consuming.

I've been working on re-implementing the menus. It looks pretty similar to what I had before but I rewrote the code and reduced it by at least a 1000 lines. Less code = less bugs
I'm refactoring a lot of the behind the scenes stuff - managing progress, input and stuff like that. Implementing controller support actually takes a ton of work. Working on a final updated version of Meat Cleaver Mutilator. I wanted to change the player model, since I'm using the other one in the hotel game.
