From fabric coming in wrong color, wrong kind, lost in the mail zippers that came in after few months, base shoes too small, to running for good bias tape color. Aerith curse has been lifted and can officially say - she is done!
Thank you guys, for all the encouraging words in the process. ❤️ Aerith was my first cosplay ever, so being able to make her new costume was very special!
Fitting test today after attaching it all together. I screw in the straps in the pauldron, it was worth the trouble. It's more realistic.
We are switching the shirt too, new fabric incoming. I wanted a blue-black one at this point for the last detail to match the in game references. I even made the weathering at the same spots as the images. I had my fun with this. 👀
I have never planned to redo it all, yet here we are :))) 💦 Doing it for LZ because she loves Cloud so much...

The pace is the usual slow, it is because we do all ourselves. We don't ask other people to make things for us and we don't buy them. We could and it's okay, but it's not the same. It's like we wouldn't draw our own art, that would be silly isn't? Patreon is partly there to help artists for materials or to get your package in the mail. Other rewards for fun.
Even without it we would still give it all, slower though. Hmm, Patreon is ...
We often print my selfmade models in bad quality before we make the real ones. So we don't waste.

I'm happy I took two colors of zippers to have, was not sure which will be better but went with darker color!
It's always hard to show sewing progress, cause it's all in the measuring and cutting and cutting again cause something moved or I made it too big/too small. And then all the sewing of small things, and lining, and pockets, and collars...

Today I will be putting mask n tape around the sword design, and it will take quite a bit of time, before I can paint the black parts.
Doesn't show but sanding, taping, glueing, painting is a long process that goes over few days so usually every coat of paint is 2 days to dry, so in between I work on something else. Not to mention the 3D modeling. We always forget to show those WIP!
Sewing is always very demanding when you want to be precise and want it to be fit. LZ works hard ...
