People have asked me if any of the characters in Stagtown are based on real people, or possibly based on me. That's honestly a question every writer gets: "Is such-and-such character basically you??" And the answer is almost always no, except for Edaniel from Bizenghast. That one was like 90% me. Even my dad read the books and called me out on the similarities. XD

Today I'm taking you on a hike to investigate a weird thing I wanted to put in the background of Stagtown. It's no secret that I use a lot of nearby locations as inspo, since Stagtown IS set in PA. But a lot of times people think that means going to famous or unusual historical locations. The truth is that most of the time, I just stumble upon weird things while out on a hike, like in this video. Much trespassing ensues.

Blah blah no one cares, stupid stuff.
