Chocolate mocha ice cream - yes please!
A lot of people consider these "Niagara Falls" but this section is actually called Horseshoe Falls! It's the largest of the three waterfalls that collectively form Niagara Falls on the Niagara River, but these are specifically on the Canadian side.
The "American Falls" look cool, but they're drastically smaller. Canadians make sure everyone knows that the real Niagara Falls are in Canada...

There's a pub that my family likes in Ontario that do great chicken wings - BUT! They also have half-price pitchers, so... need I say more?

Went out on the boat while at the cottage and got a bit wet... It was windy/wavey so we got hit by the water pretty bad! Oh well, keep smiling.

As you guys probably saw, I went to a cottage while in Ontario! My parents friends cottage is on Lake Muskoka which is a really popular place. There's something so calming and peaceful when sitting on the dock and watching the sun go down.
My family has never had a cottage, but it's always helpful to have friends with cottages!

What a nice gift from my sister! She works at a place that makes these by hand and I had said I loved the tree-stamp - so she got it for me! Lovely for my coffee when outside in my parents backyard.

One of my favourite things to do in Canada is going for walks/hikes. My parents go basically every day to stay active so I make sure to tag along whenever I visit. This particular one is almost entirely covered by the tree canopy so it's great if you think it might rain!
Having a great visit so far, hope everyone has had a lovely August!

Hey everyone! This is my new podcast! It's about true crime, mystery, and lame stuff that's happening to us lately. I wanted to give Patreon an early-look at our first episode.
We're be officially launching on Wed with another 2 episodes, then a new episode will go live every Wed after that. The first few are a bit rough, but we're getting better! Always good to learn new things. You can listen on Apple Podcast and Spotify along with a bunch of other services.

8 Out of 10 Cats was probably one of the first panel shows I saw when I first moved to England. I used to really enjoy it, although haven't seen it in ages. Pretty silly but still good!
The Countdown one is pretty funny, too, but I don't care about the puzzles. Skip the puzzles!

One of the best things about Florida theme parks are that most of them sell turkey legs.
Yes.
Yes, please.
(I'm not that sweaty, I just came off a water ride. I promise.)

This pier area was always great for spotting dolphins near by parent's condo in Florida. I miss it!!

This movie was exactly what I thought it would be: a bit silly, lots of jump-scares and not a complex story-line. Sometimes you just want to watch a bunch of Florida gators attack some people, you know?
I will say this: There's a dog involved. I know, I didn't realise beforehand, either. I think I was more tense throughout the film because I was rooting that the pup wouldn't get eaten..

I think every British comedian has been on Mock the Week! Another one of my favourites, although it really depends who's on it, I think. Very funny, lots of different formats and I always like the stand-up portion. I'll definitely watch, especially if someone I really like is on it.

On a recent Classic Movie Night I watched The Third Man from 1949. At first I thought: Okay, perfectly fine. Then we hit a decent twist and I think: Ooh, we're getting there. Then I ended up really enjoying it! The camera angles and artistic direction is beautiful - the architecture, the sets, the music, the cinematography, all wonderful.
For some reason, I find old films really hard to follow along with the dialogue sometimes - this one included - but overall, a great one!

I'll be honest with you - I don't always like Tarantino's films. But this one felt wildly unique and I really enjoyed it! The cinematography is perfectly executed, the music is wonderful, the acting is great and it's a really interesting story!
I kept wondering: how is this going to end??
If you can handle sitting through 160 minutes, it's certainly worth it.

Check out the Lincoln Memorial at the top of the National Mall in Washington, DC. You'll get this view from the top of the Washington Monument.
I think the tower is actually closed now because of renovations - when I was there, they told us the Monument was slowly falling down!

I think Would I Lie To You is one of my top-favourites. David and Lee play off each other so well that each episode is genuinely funny. I'm always happy to watch! Plus they use the tried and tested formula of having a set cast but include new people each episode.

Last Classic Movie Night I watched the Italian film Bicycle Thieves from 1949! Ranked as one of the best, and most important, films of all time.
I don't think I've ever watched a movie with such a basic plot that was turned into something beautiful and interesting. I can't say it was my favourite movie of all time, but I can certainly see why it's important - and you can find references to it in all sorts of films.
