We've made much progress on the level editor! Importing sprite sheets, sound effects, and music is as easy as dragging and dropping them into the window! After importing your assets, the editor will add your newly created assets to an asset cache that will load whenever you want to edit your level. 💾

A big update allowing mod creators to make levels from scratch directly inside the game without using a template mod or editing configuration files is almost done!
Rather than creating standalone modding tools, we've determined that putting a cutscene and level editor inside the game allows people to always be on the most up-to-date version when creating their mods.

We've been hard at work running many tests and trying new things to find ways to get Beat Banger to you guys faster. I finally made a breakthrough. We will implement an Auto CI so that any time we push code, you will automatically get that update on the patron-exclusive itch.io page.
This should allow us to fix bugs faster and give you guys the content you want to see without us having to manually manage our builds and upload them to the itch.io website...

In the next update, we're adding Claire's post-level cutscene. Previously, it used to be linked to the beginning of Dawna's cutscene, but now we can implement it independently.
Dawna's cutscenes are already in the works, which means our "Connoisseur" level patrons will be getting sneak peeks of the work-in-progress very soon. Stay tuned for exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of the creative process!

Transforming storyboards into their final version requires a great deal of effort. We have been working tirelessly to guarantee that the character designs remain consistent and that their facial expressions accurately portray the emotions and atmosphere of the scene. We are in the process of transferring the localization files of the old version of the game to the new version. The localization for Japanese and Spanish languages is available for the first few menus. We will expand the localization to more languages and other parts of the game as we progress with further updates.

Version 3.13 is out! We've made many improvements thanks to you guys testing the builds. Our biggest hurdle, ensuring the game didn't crash on Mac, has been resolved. And many small things have been optimized and run a lot smoother.

We're doing this because pushing another Godot 3 build of the game to Steam will only complicate things as we get the Godot 4 engine update ready. Claire’s cutscenes are entering the final stage of production and are just about ready to be implemented into the game.
All that’s left to do is polish the in-game level and add sound to the cutscene. The ETA for it to be done is two weeks from today.
This update will be pushed to the Godot 3 version of the game, so all of the changes in the Godot 4 version will not be included in the Claire update, but will probably be coming shortly after.
