Welcome to November! Little Red Riding Hood bts

I gotta get these off my phone before someone sees them that shouldn't lol so have them all. I took them last week when we were shooting rated G Little Red Riding Hood. Non naughty version pics to come. 😊

Finally got to work it out. More to come edited by another photographer, then another set edited by me/non-edited. Halloween week, might as well. lol

I wasn't sure about the lighting and wanted to try some different areas, so these are when I moved around to two different areas in the 3rd floor of the house. And, a photo of that area as I was testing lighting.

When we realized that wouldn't work because we couldn't both balance on it (lol) we took turns with one on the stool and the other posing around what that person was doing.

My brunette friend was shooting these until I saw "the blonde" look up at me to talk to me and said "give me the camera!" Those pics of her looking up at me are WOW.

World Photography Day self portraits

Remember that people weren't ready to shoot when we first got there, so I wandered my way up to the third floor and started in on some self-portraits so I wasn't wasting time. :) I like how the sun made the purple sun flare. I know some people don't like those, but I do.

Bonus post: Fall color

I've been trying to take Fall pics for a week now and it's been cloudy, rainy, not the right timing colorwise, I couldn't pull over anywhere that I saw a good shot, or the light would change in an instant.

So, these are the best I could get. None are stellar. But, which is your favorite?

What's coming up.... Should you stay or should you go?

So you can decide if you want to stay or go, but I hope you stay! Or join or rejoin! Anyway.... this is what's coming up over the next months. I can't say when as I post what I feel like in the moment and keep going with that shoot until done. I do know that December will be rocking, because I try to make that extra special for the holidays and because sometimes people get depressed that time of year.

I put a black dress with white polka dots on my Amazon wishlist so I'd have a pin-up dress for shoots and somehow got two (thanks to the people who ordered it for me), so I asked on my Facebook if anyone wanted to model it for me (me as the photographer) or with me with us both wearing them in exchange for keeping the dress. So, my friends and I ended up getting together and playing around in a vintage decorated house with our retro outfits. This was just the beginning as we were getting warm...

World Photography Day - Getting started

I know I mentioned that I got to participate in my first ever group shoot this Summer. It happened to be on World Photography Day. As I always am, I was ready to go the moment I showed up. (I'm used to being paid and time is money, so I show up ready to work to not waste people's time/money.) But, I guess in group shoots where people are trading time, they relax and hang out and talk more. What a pretty girl!

This had been on my shoot list a long time and I finally got to shoot it! Power to the artist! If you can't tell, it's the back of a bald head with a face painted on and a wig. I laughed myself silly putting a face on the back of a face. I'm not sure why it amused me so much, but I hope it amuses you, too!

Scary Fae that will steal you away!

I am going to post these on my Instagram, too, but I wanted to post them here and get these photographers some attention. I have a working list of concepts. When someone gives me an idea, I put it on the list. When I don't have an idea, I pull from the list. Sometimes I decide I don't like the idea enough to pursue it, or it's been over-done, or whatever. This concept is "scary fae like the kind that will steal you away". My friend's helped me.
