I could not have asked for a better conclusion to this phenomenal anime original series... the stakes were high, the twists were crazy, our worst fear was successfully avoided, plus Majima continued to be /highly/ entertaining to watch! I do hope we see these characters again one day, I'll miss them so much.

Delays

I apologize, I got the finale of Lycoris Recoil & Episodes 3-5 of Cyberpunk Edgerunners recorded on Saturday, I just haven't edited them yet.

Stream ran longer than I was initially expecting which ate into my editing time slot, so I've opted to sleep instead so I don't feel as exhausted and won't make mistakes as I pump them out (almost certainly before Monday).

I plan on finishing Cyberpunk Edgerunners by Wednesday, at the absolute latest, so it doesn't bleed over into Fall 2...

Summer Time Rendering S1 Episode 24 Reaction

Once again, this show catches me off guard, I was genuinely expecting the despair train to continue along until the last couple moments of the finale, where everything would get resolved... but this victory happened so soon. I am so curious about what the consequences of Ushio's final actions will be.

Such an incredible episode though, very tense and emotional, the classic "OP kicking in during final fight" moment got me so damn hype!

Our boy Yamori's still shaken up after the events of last week, his inner turmoil about his ignorance of vampires even makes him push away Nazuna out of instinctive fear for his own wellbeing... I love that Nazuna treated the whole matter with respect & maturity, she truly does care about him.

So begins the Banquet of Tragedy... and I am left just speechless, anxious, and excited for whatever's coming next. It was like I was watching a Jurassic Park / Alien / Kaiju horror movie, the monster's design and brutality was just another level entirely.

I can't believe they really killed off an OG S1 character with phenomenal development since then... RIP Brain, you were an absolute legend who managed to earn the respect of Cocytus with your own skills/strength. Of course, the situation continues to worsen well beyond what we'd expect, as creatures from the Abyss start causing all sorts of brutal chaos... seeing Faputa torn to shreds in various fashions broke my heart, but this episode was insanely hype as well, as Nanachi (with her new helmet) & Belaf show up like badasses!

I do have TONs of questions about the final scene... did Faputa evolve & gain access to the power of relics since she was made with 3 Wish Eggs???

PEAK STORYTELLING! Honestly, it's easily the best episode so far this season, the emotional weight, the tragedy borne from vengeance, and the smooth-as-fuck transitions between past & present whilst the Prince (Reg) fights the Princess (Faputa).

I do hope Faputa survives her flames of fury & joins the main trio as they move onto the next layer of the Abyss... she deserves to have friends & see what the world has to offer! What did you think of this episode?

So begins Faputa's vengeance... the slaughter's coming next time & I am incredibly nervous about how it'll turn out. I do hope our named (and nice) Hollow friends can make it out of this alive. It could also mean that Nanachi & Mitty are in danger as well, it all depends on how much tunnel vision & fury our Princess has going on!

It was also cool to receive an explanation about Juroimoh and their connection with Vueko, the transformation into a streamlined form was sick!

I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH! Anime Originals are usually hit-or-miss series, but holy shit, this series has been an absolute delight to watch weekly and it's sad that the finale's coming so soon... this show might just be an AOTY contender, it's a personal favorite of mine, the dynamic between Chisato & Takina is the biggest highlight, and this episode broke me with how emotional it got between them...

So many sacrifices were made just to keep the group alive on the 6th layer, it was even worse than I was expecting after last episode's cliffhanger reveal... the twisted wishes of Irumyuui may have made a "safe place" to live but she gave up so much in return, that breaks my heart so much.

Now we know the truth about Faputa, the Hollow Village, and the Great Sages... I can support the Princess's desire for vengeance on behalf of her mother, that's for sure!

Obligatory "STOP SLEEPING ON THIS SHOW!" because, yet again, the plot twists are absolutely wild and I vibe with this show so damn much every week. STR is absolute insanity, I mean seriously, experiencing Hiruko's memories of the WWII firebombings... in Tokoyo (The Realm of the Dead), her homeland... WHO COULD PREDICT THIS?!

Only 2 more episodes to go & I have a feeling it'll be the last few minutes of the finale that'll be a "happy ending," anything can & probably will go wrong...

STOP SLEEPING ON THIS SERIES! J.C. Staff's turning it up for S4, it's incredible and I am so thankful as a longtime fan of the franchise.

It was so damn cool to see both groups fight Lambton, a deep floors snake monster, and overcome it in their own ways... the tension also builds further as the dungeon spawns "something" in response to the massive damage done to it. The "Banquet of Tragedy" is coming and I am NOT ready for it!

Best Girl (Anko Uguisu) makes her appearance and, I must say, Studio LIDENFILMS did outstanding work with her introduction! I swear, the stylization was on point, the colors, animation, and even her VA choice surpass the manga (and as a caught up reader, I am ecstatic)!

Seems like this "Strongest Dragon Lord" could be the "original dragon" (the ancestor) of this world's species, possibly brought here from Yggdrasil considering their line of "power misuse"... though it could be they were the first to encounter other players/npcs & decided to hunt them as atonement / to maintain this world's peace & balance after doing something horrible themselves.

It was such a cool fight between "Ainz" & "Riku," hopefully we see more magic & awesome ac...

I swear, every time I feel like I can handle whatever this show might do next, it knocks my lights out... Irumyuui was their "salvation" and it's so, so horrible. It was the cost of survival for the 1st group on the 6th layer, but damn it, I dislike Wazu after that cliffhanger reveal!

Majima's managed to expose the existence of the Lycoris & DA, something I've been sorta expecting to happen for awhile (as a plot point) but it's still a dire situation regardless! It was so cool to see a "Sight vs Sound" gun battle, I love how damn good this series has been on a weekly basis.

Only 5 years after the conclusion of Iron-Blooded Orphans (which I absolutely love), comes a new standalone entry in the franchise, and this prologue's already sold me on it! I cried, that's how emotional it got me, to feel so passionately about these characters, in this prequel special... Do NOT sleep on this or the main series as it begins airing in Fall!

It was so nice to spend time with Midori & Arisa, dealing with their workplace & the feelings that crop up from the attention. Seri's spotlight last week was great, I love spending time with these characters! I'd also love to visit a maid cafe in Japan one day, among MANY other places I'd experience there.
