June 2021 update 2

Not really much to say;  still waiting on the dreaded bill from the hospital to show up in my mailbox.  In the meantime, I've been working on commissions until yesterday and Friday - decided to take a couple days off working on them  and started out with a few new sketches as well as dusting off a couple of old ones.

Also, for various reasons, I will not be accepting any new commission requests until further notice.

As some of you may have recalled, I mentioned considering working on art with a 'darker' theme, way back in January.  At the time, I myself wasn't exactly sure what I meant, or how I was going to go about approaching such content.

June 2021 update

Sorry about the lack of updates as of late - haven't been able to give as much focus to my art due to other things on my mind, foremost being the medical bills and how much havoc they're going to wreak;  got the first one today, and it isn't pretty, and I suspect the next one will be far worse.

May 2021 update 3

So, yesterday, I took my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine;  initially, I was just sore around the injection site - but by midnight I was pretty much feeling like utter shit.  Body aches, chills, headache, fever - couldn't sleep at all.

Then this morning, as I was about to make myself breakfast and walked into the kitchen, I noticed my heart beating abnormally fast;  this drove me into a panic after realizing it wasn't slowing down after about half an hour.  Ended up...

May 2021 update 2

Been keeping fairly busy;  still working on commissions from April, as well as those for this month - still have two slots open for those.  Also trying to get my submission for the latest S-S-S volume complete before the deadline (https://twitter.com/screwshaft_2017), as well as trying to find time to work on the poll winners here as well as on Pixiv, Twitter and dA, on top of a few other works on the side...

Well, I finished the last of the April's re-done illustrations from the past.  I enjoyed going back and fixing stuff to make the old lineart less wrong-looking, as well adding a much-needed splash of colour and other details.

I figured I'd do another poll for this month - I've got plenty of old material to go through that you all may find worthy of refreshing.  

I should also think of a new title for this poll as well, but oh well...

On the left is one of the very first illustrations (and I use the term very loosely in this instance) I posted on Pixiv back in 2016.  I think I used either SAI or even MS Paint to draw...that.

On the right is a vastly updated and dare I say improved version;  I posted it last year on Pixiv, albeit without any shading, background effects done.  Unfortunately, like most of the works I posted there, it fell victim to the unpleasantness that was February of this yea...

May 2021 update

Greetings!  Kicking off May by currently working on the updates of the past illustrations that I put up for votes in April;  hoping to have these done by the end of this month.

Also working on a pair of commissions, the last ones that I took for April – hopefully you’ll see them on the usual places (Pixiv, Twitter...dA) once I eventually finish them.

My elbow more-or-less seems to be back to normal, and I've been steadily working on commissions yet again.

However, as of this post, I'm due to get my first COVID shot in about an hour (Pfizer-BioNTech, for those that are wondering), and depending on how the side effects go, I might not feel any or it'll knock me on my ass (with my luck, I'd wager on the latter).  Who knows?

Anyway, I'll probably start to open commissions for May early, as well as update my commission sheet f...

Taking some time off...

Earlier this morning, as I was working on the commission that I eventually finished later today, my left elbow began to act up (again);  the pain's not too bad, but it's enough to make doing the drawing thing rather unpleasant.

So, I'll be taking a break for the remainder of today and probably tomorrow - hopefully by then things should improve.

April 2021 Update 3

Well, it's Wednesday - wrapped up a Pixiv request/commission earlier tonight, and I'll begin to work on the next of four commissions I have in the pipeline.  Assuming I don't fall into another slump, I'm hoping to have this next one done and in the Dropbox tomorrow at the earliest.

Once these commissions are completed, I'm planning on working on the old illustrations that people voted for updating on Pixiv and Twitter, and after that - I don't really know.  Maybe I'll make it ...

Medical Experimentation

Our subject is in a medical facility undergoing some kind of experiment whilst under restraint.  Air should be fed to her lungs via oxygen mask from the ventilator, but unfortunately (for her) the flow of oxygen has been shut off...

So, I was thinking about (and still am thinking about) re-releasing some/most of my old stuff (which consists mostly of plain lineart) a couple of days ago during my slump;  one of the patrons on discord made a suggestion of of opening a poll 'to ask people what of your old stuff they would like to see redone'.

Not long after, a light bulb figuratively illuminated over my cranium, and I decided to run with the idea.  Earlier today, I put up a poll and a quartet of older illust...

April 2021 Update 2

Sorry about the lack of a timely update (or preview sketches); I was in a pretty deep rut/slump/whatever over the past three, maybe four days, and frankly didn't get anything done, art wise or life in general.  Despite getting enough sleep during this time, I've been feeling tired throughout the day, rather irritable (not that I have a particular sunny disposition most of the time...), no drive to draw or do anything really of note.

Things have been pretty busy lately;  I opened up six slots for commissions a few days ago for this month;  I did not expect all of them to be filled up before today, but anyways....

Started said commissions in earnest today, working on some basic sketches and poses;  also did some inking for some personal works of mine.  I'm hoping I'll have some more output this month than I did back in March, but we'll see.

March 2021 update 4

Taking a break from streaming on Picarto and Pixiv Sketch Live for a bit and switching gears;  Enjoyed going back to straighten out some older work, as well as starting up a few new sketches.  

However, time to move on with commissions now.  I'm currently working on three such commissions at the moment, the final results of which you'll be able to see here or on Pixiv/Twitter/deviantart.  Also, added some more R-18 short stories from Pixiv into to the Dropbox for tho...

March 2021 update 3

First off, I'm still continuing to stream daily on Picarto and Pixiv Sketch Live;  I'm planning on curtailing the number of streams I do in the coming days, however to concentrate on working on inking and coloring.

Also, had a breakthrough with regards to re-releasing my short stories and found a way to copy the text from Pixiv's PDFs onto my own without it reversing said text.  I've already added more stories to the R-18 short story folder and will be adding more.

This one took a lot longer than expected;  sorry about that.  I originally posted this work on Pixiv about two years ago, I think.  That version was simply a plain linework and was a series of four illustrations.  This version, on the other hand has seven, and this time around, each illustration is colored and shaded;  had quite a bit of trouble with this set - seriously thought of just scrapping it altogether several times, but somehow managed to pull this one throug...

March 2021 update 2

A lot's happened since the last update;  The Displayport-DVI I needed to make my Cintiq usable again finally arrived on Monday - plugged it into my GPU and it worked just fine;  started drawing again in short order.

Finally started getting customers on Gumroad;  now that my Pixiv FANBOX is now quite dead, it's now the alternate method for accessing my galleries.  Still trying to figure out everything there;  it's fairly bare-bones compared to Patreon for the tim...

March 2021 update

So, my 3090 came in yesterday;  Although still feeling the hurt financially from this thing, my enthusiasm for its potential began to grow as soon as I opened up the box...

Installation was pretty straightforward (although I was more than a bit nervous - never held a PC component that cost about as much as my first car before and REALLY didn't want to fuck it up...), although it took up quite a bit of real estate in my full-size tower.  Powered up the PC with no issues, thankf...

February 2021 update 10

FINALLY managed to luck out today and secured a Nvidia RTX 3090FE;  not my first choice for a new GPU for many reasons, but it was the first one that I could actually order.  Right now experiencing quite a few mixed feelings on this development, the top two being 'I can't believe I actually got one! 😁' to 'Holy fuck, what have I done?!😭'.

Suffice to say with this development, however, If you want to commission me for work, now's the time, as I'm all ears...
