I am excited to announce that not one, but seven bridles will be releasing in the next few days (four are made for saddle seat so don't get too excited). This includes the long awaited dressage bridle seen in the video.
However as you can also see in the video, there is an issue with how Sims 4 works that we can't currently resolve (to my knowledge). This is excessive deforming of the bits with certain head shapes. I flip through the EA presets...

I don't really make these kinds of posts because there is nothing that can be done and messages of hope, while well-intentioned, aren't helpful to me.

I kind of sort of figured out how to do deformation UVs
The saddle is pretty much ready but I want to try a version with stirrup leathers again. The bridle is...functional. It deforms now which is good but it's not morphing smoothly in some places. Need to fix up the textures to be more saddle seat specific, too.

I'm going to write up a tutorial on how I make markings as hoof overlays. In the process, I recorded this. I use the chestnut from my base coat pack and only my or in-game stencils/brushes to change it into a red roan.
I would typically spend more than 3 minutes being more meticulous about what I'm adding. I encourage using other custom stencils/markings to get even more detail. This is just a visual on how you can change up the coats with minimal additions to the game.

UPDATE 8/31/2023: Manes should be fixed now. Please re-download if downloaded before this date. Sorry. My inexperience with S4S is showing. Both the zip and individual files are fixed (the individual ones aren't named with 'fix' just so it'd be easier to overwrite when pasting in the files to your mod folder).

And the favorites. I did two other saddle seat flavors but I hadn't copied the mesh part that was previously mapped. So I have to redo that. The padded bridles will have swatches that color the padding separately.

The Western bridles I said I would not be doing but then did. We will fix shadows etc. I wasn't sure how they'd look without completely new textures but MM's texture work is like no other.

Splitting these previews into three posts so it's less confusing. Feeling great about seeing them in game. The shadow roll will get its own texture. Right now, it's textureless. Same with the ring on the sidepull; it'll all get fixed before release.

I'm going to take over weight painting for MM. I made way too many to leave that all to her. There's no deformation UV applied so all that is to be done. As well as the shadows etc. Just a test to see if I understand the process.
