For new supporters: Patreon will not fix LENS issue

So I can't see comments on the first LENS in a string. Big jab in the back since we can only post 15 second LENS, and it only lasts 24hrs.

I can reply to comments with Upto 30sec videos otherwise, but the first one in a series? They simply do not let me SEE comments to be able to reply. I think you guys can! It's rediculous and LENS ismy favorite thing to use when it works.

I've bugged patreon 3 times already, they ignore or say "we'll send this issue to tech team". So all my up to date applications and phone os and account is not to blame. I can't reply to comments on PC/browser.

You guys have been stellar, but yeah any NEW people need to know that. Cuz I spend hours making 30 videos, when I can't post them it hurts, I lose the chance in 24 hrs, and when the chance comes around again the videos are buried. Irritating self destructive patreon glitch.

You guys shouldn't have to work with this glitch let alone need to comment for a slightly longer than 15 sec vid. 🧂😞

I shouldn't have to wait for great supporters to pick up on the theme of my LENS, see it in TIME, and still reply back to let me kno (while I write this post). The glitch is so rediculous it bothers me and my supporters, it hurts my content and people's patience.

Jeez if its not one thing its another. My back is hurting, shoulderblade area. Also my foot is cranked. I was not only up 24 + hrs yesterday, but tasking the whole time ( no not playing games or watching tv , chores and projects and trying to fix sleep schedule).

Skin material for Katastrophia varies between one or the other slippy or catchy, neither are best for the pleathers because on the other side of the pleathers is a sheen like sheer silky smooth hose... I mean...its slides around to F*€#ing much! 😅 One fix on pleather does not fix for both scenarios. so ... I'll try stuff later.

Between 2 great music streamers this weekend I was able to start and finish this set, but it started with a short redo of some old (low quality) silver.

Still need to put a zipper in a silver and anther black redo from before. Getting there!

Replacing ALL booklets

I'll send out replacements for booklets when the new printer arrives and I remake every single one.

I had to change my files to accomodate this current printer which is nothing but issue after issue.

yeah it was the WRONG one...now waiting for the correct one to deliver, end of ....... next week.

I'm kinda mad. But I'm not changing anything with the booklets besides move the files back to a center per page. They will not have bleeding letters, cramped spacing, or faded details, and that's after I catered files FOR this printer.

So replacements might have better color, but will also be spaced right and not blurred.

I hate printers part 452.

But this will be an official printer that's not the cramped cheap ones, I've never had a GOOD one, and its still like $400. The whole deal is: Epson needs to backup their warranty or replace, so the money goes to a new one... again difficult all the way.

I do recommend the liquid ink (eco) not the cartridges. You need a "maintenence box" because of cleaning cycles and dumps, but it's not pricey and is a rare/easy switch out.

I can't do anything now besides the photo cut parts for the album front/back....those came out great.

It did in fact release on 222 of 2022, Japan's cat day, so I played some songs live on Twitch in march, LAZY af Frostina style, limited support but still played the first song on the album for first time anywhere for anyone to hear.

Some of you have seen LENS or replays from that stream, it was supposed to be Starkitty live, but I didn't have time to remake the entire outfit or even fix the old one.

I posted on twitter, but ... my partner needs help with everything. I literaly drive her everywhere, wheel her, down/up stairs if must, cook, clean and everything in between.

SO! This week, one day was Urgernt Care, where they did test and LOTS of needles, they told us to go to the ER, who proceded to do the exact same thing even with literature we brought from the last place. She's doing a little better but no thanks to them, the first place told us it wasn't life threatening just yet. We're comparing notes now. But she will help remake a couple messed up booklets while I ship the bad ones and replacements to follow 🙏😥

Before all this, I took vids of my progress, my partner can't use her hands and arms right now to help print or do small things she likes. I got a lot done, almost ready to ship! Customizing tho,so many little stars!

No really, crazy week, I expected to watch the sun rise from my car yesterday, hospital will not allow anyone else in, even if it's a patient's healthcare proxy or caretaker…we are still mad.

I share all this not as excuse, but considering the spirit behind the stuff I share, and WHY you guys are such help 💜 The struggles we go through almost don't let us share, but I'm a taskmaster so stuff happens and things get done even if a bit late.

Starkats delay reasons

nothing big, but since its been building up, thought it might be nice for people to see why stuff happened: mostly covid and kidney stones.

Also (in order of most recent)

• printer died, repairs not done. It needs a cleaning cycle immediately before every use. We know what needs fixing, just waiting. So SUPER slow process.
• Copyrights, needed to have the money for final arts before it could be finalized, even if the art is BAD, IP and all...with the NFT age, cover all corners.
• Foil stickers,personalizing, Branding etc, I made it complicated by accident, worth it.
• disc printer fiasco, no biggie just took a couple weeks.
• double disc case fiasco, mean spirited bad company tried to fight me on delivering a big box of 150 smashed cases. They did not win.
• actually making the arts, designing extra art for extra booklet and disc made it twice as much work....all cuz 15 min song mix made time go over the normal space on 1 cd, changed everything.
• besides my easy medical stuff, partner's medical stuff, she is disabled and is not doing great.
• recording and rerecording songs because of originals having a pop/blip at the start of every MP3 track. Then, also doing 2 extras because I ended up switching a couple out.

I started in Nov2021 actually, after years of the goal...took awhile and against all odds we gonna mail these out 👊

Not my first project by far 🧡 of all the arts and disciplines...never so many setbacks besides Astaroth cosplay (that took 2+ years and was met with pure hate the first day). That was 2010, so I'm ready for anything.

Math: Reflecting on 2021 with LENS?

I wanna do this but first...

I did decide to change a lot with what I shared just last year, mostly because of time and resources.

Now , I literally have enough notable LENS from last year to represent every week.

So, on average, after videos are already snapped, every video thereafter takes 100+times to make than it is long: a 15sec video might take 10min ... could take 30min depending on text,tune,angle,cuts, sound balance).

Reminder, That doesn't include getting in gear, time DURING actual photoshoot/videos, or review while clearing phone to take more, or even posting or cleaning up to share… which is almost 1000 times the end video (a simple 3 hours of start to stop is 360 seconds x 3....more than 1000seconds alone). I'm never done within 3hrs. So I try to do them during streams or events to make it worth doing.

I make 30sec LENS for replies, but some never get posted cuz no comments, or the 24hr thing went by too fast.

My Average LENS is ~20sec.

A basic 52LENS x 2000sec is 29hrs.

I also made ~200+ LENS in 2021, not 52 (some get replayed else its a waste of effort, some I ditched).

So I spent 120 hours making LENS in 2021

Why does it feel like 10 hrs per month? cuz it is, at LEAST. Doesn't include time in outfits/prep/clean, just… making "LENS" stuff.

Math in short: I like LENS, I put effort into it because it's a great idea, I loved VINE, I miss it. I started making music to fit vines in like 2015, cuz I've made musics before and I felt bad using mainstream stuff to represent original/created stuff I did, had to be 100% in every way if appropriate! purest 🤓

Making GIFs and the GIF reels are seperate, but definatly took time.

Some people are simply not able to understand the time allocation artists have to plan for and ultimately go over. My time is also caretaking starlightslk as you know, etc etc, not much overlap, it's all 100% attention here or 100% there. Time gets away from me like in 2021. I was ahead of it with calendars but got covid/kidney stone issue and lost Jan2022, and Feb looks funky.

Please help pick out what you remember as your fav outfit, character, LENS in 2021 that you would like in a mega reel. I posted 70+ at once as an experiment for this in that holiday monster reel. Make the efforts worth it AGAIN! I can't do unless ppl note favs. Comments or messages work. (GIF included is NYE Dec31st2020 into Jan1st2021)

Covid test was negative TODAY!

I can take the mask off at home and now work on getting proper nutrition, I caretake parner so was stuck in a room for awhile, only came out to do chores. She never got sick from me because of my practices and experience. Zero tolerance for spreading, I just wish I was more careful and avoided a couple maskless people 5-6weeks ago

So I can probably stream or something soon.

I'll at least try to open a gift on cam, I'd rather not do 3 hrs makeup for a 3 minute event, so might be Fara unless I stream (still could be Fara, but Starkitty Leads the new album).

You guys pitching in can sometimes just help someone's moral enough to get better faster. I was sick for weeks, for all I know I caught it just after my last live stream. I already stay sick longer than almost everyone, so content drags, stuff doesn't get made, I'm a month behind for something due in a month, I usually do MANY tasks at once, many shares, many arts, so I'm limiting my goals a little, but (like always) I'm gonna turn this situation into something fun.

Starkats is a self reflection of our situation at home, story from start to finish of the tale of Starkats.

It's a variety of retro and kickers. You have heard and have probably LIKED at least one on Twitch.

I decided to remove "Keepsakes " (very 80s movie track feel) , and put "best friends" back after all. It's technically 2 Songs, because it is the happy venture serious tune of 2 kittys struggling in a land that isn't made for them, it sparked the album (I have the screenplay started). It's made in the feel of "now" for where me and my partner starlightslk are at , a limbo full of looking at where we are and where we dream to be....well if you pitched in here you know full tale.

I explained the background before, but not for general public. See storenvy listing! If you pitched in ~10$ per month in 2021 usually you automatically get a CD. Calendars were GREAT this year, so I have to consider that in the pitch in for less than $5.

• Topic: digital is out of the question because ppl steal,share, and destroy independent artists just by putting on a cloud somewhere, I've had issues. I don't mind people playing it on a stream, background , animation/movie/game(ask first), mixing live or even jamming to! I even share BPM and note scale to people playing it live. All my stuff is in USA copyright database, always before played live/sharing. If you want something special, ask, I reserve the right to set limits, but I've been very happy about the end of every question about using my tunes so far!
• So if you are not familiar and need guidance etc, definately ask, help a fellow indi artist out, cuz this stuff represents ME 🙏

Production Slow, Bare with?

I'm working on Omega Quadrant album stuff still, it is called Starkats, the character lead is starkitty (made 2013). Getting art is hard , I need 5 pieces again! 😅

The entire album tells a story, I'm leaving my favorite song out because it's like 8 minutes and really needs some art reel or animation like the endpoint songs. I might include a fold out info guide for songs.

Right now I'm making a bonus mix track ... or 2...... still deciding.

This album is a fine split of combo of retro, dancey, mood. It's got the most tracks so far , but not by much (guess how many) 😅

Been planning this for 4years , without knowing exactly how it was gonna go. Never knew all these other nasty things would slow me down this badly, I almost can't get it done in time. I haven't worn anything nice in past couple weeks, pajamas inside or jeans for the snow. Kidney stones plus covid and isolating from the same person I need to take care of, wearing a mask inside I can't eat or drink anything without being confined.... its near impossible to get stuff done.

I'm on some heavy antibiotics, yesterday I was driving all over the city area from 5-8pm after being in urgent care for about 3 hours mostly sitting with no back support etc. It was the most UNinspiring day and mind zapping. So ...I have no inspiration from that unlike most things 😅

either way, I feel so close to wrapping up the album, I need to remake the outfit in a better purple! .... which I HAVE 💜

I have kept tiers low for awhile but provide a lot. I know I'm not making money at ALL.

So I will start sharing to the higher tiers because I HAVE TO. I work for hundreds of hours and make very little all year. 

From streams (which people provide support there) to making outfits, keeping a camera charged through all these hundreds of LENS, makeup, supplies and power, and that never pays for my creativity, I'm far FAR in the negative for earning for my content.

after a $2.22 tier, patreon takes a cut, paypal takes a cut, taxes take cut, I'm left with not even 2$ for like 4 hours of time. I can't change the values in each tier, patreon doesn't let creators do that while people are subscribed. So I have to bump content up, most will not change, but under $5 has been getting a great deal for half a decade.

I just wanted you guys to know that.
I just do a LOT of stuff : concert jam streams, I make all those LENS, I share photos, I make calendars, I make GIFs to download, and I'm producing albums/CDs. I'm not including the drawing/arts. These take serious time. Any one of these could easily earn the same money that for making it all, with no extra effort applied. 

Like, I'm making peanuts at this rate.
I limited tiers too, which will stay because it controls conversation and attention to everyone, I like 1-1 basis because I care about people who are kind and able enough to share their hard earned moneys. They deserve to be targetted for appreciaten, personally!

"Every bit counts" only matters in proper portions.  A1/2 a penny is zero money by itself. .. . also they got rid of the 1/2 penny like 150 years ago in USA, so it's only worth something to a specific  "collector". I don't wanna be just that.

   * I let it go because I didn't need money THAT much and people were great fans, but I can't anymore, I shouldn't have for past 2 years. Please ask if you really need to know more, but I doubt you do! Just hoping peeps will understand. I KNOW a few do and have been trying to help me through this!
