Nora's Morning Routine in a Velpeau Cast

Watch me get up, have breakfast and clean around the house while I have my arm stuck to my body in a Velpeau cast. With a bit of perspective it was easier than the DSS but it was still a big challenge. I struggled a lot!

Straitjacket cast coming!

Sometime ago I promised a patron I would do a straitjacket cast (arms wrapped around the body in a single cast) This is one of the casts I'll be doing on February and it's going to be really hard for me to stay for long in this casts (4 or 5 hours at most) For this reason I'd like to ask you your favorite scenes to shot while in this cast, that way I'll make the most of the few hours I'll be casted.

I'm reading your comments!

Doing chores is never easy. Doing them while your whole upper body and arms are casted is an impossible task. I struggled a lot but managed to do some of them good enough to earn being free from this restrictive cast. I hope you enjoy it.

Nora exercising in a DSS

Who said you can't train while you are casted? No matter how big the cast, doing some exercise is always a big challenge. In the end I was really tired (more than normal for sure) but I enjoyed every moment of it. I'm looking forward to seeing what I'm capable of doing in all sorts of casts.

Nora's LAC Application

Here you can see  how I get my first LAC ever applied. It was comfortable enough to wear while we went to Porto for the day. Sadly the weather was awful and we couldn't take public footage. I hope I can wear a cast soon, when the weather gets better and show you many activities and how I struggle to perform while my arm is restricted.

Nora Purple LAC

As much as I loved this Long Arm Cast for the few hours I could wear it, we couldn't take many pictures. What was planned as a day-trip to Portugal ended in an awful storm. I hope you enjoy this little taste of my LAC. The application video is coming soon as well as more DSS videos.

Nora Double Shoulder Spica Interview

After this long Christmas hiatus we come back with more Double Shoulder Spica videos. Here you can see me talking about my expectations just after having my Double Shoulder Spica applied. It wasn't easy to endure but I got to do many activities, more of them to come. Stay tuned.

Nora tries to remove DSS

My boyfriend left me in a Double Shoulder Spica unable to do anything by myself except from checking my phone or reading a book. That's when I tried by all means to remove my cast but it was impossible. I tried bumping it on the floor, the wall, using a knife, scissors, pliers... no success. I guess I'll have to be like this for as long as he wants.

Nora's DSS Application

Mega (Computer or Mobile App)

Download Video (4k 2.95GB)

Here you can see the most tiresome cast application to the date. At first, keeping my arms up and straight was complicated but it became easier as the fiberglass started to set. Feeling the rigidity more and more as my body was becoming more stiff is something every cast enthusiast should live at...

Pedicure and Tapping & Scratching my SLC

Here you can see me applying lotion to my toes, painting my nails and exploring my cast. It was really interesting feeling the texture, the colors and the rigidity of the fiberglass. I loved every bit of it. XOXO    Nora.

Nora's DSS Photo Session

I took this photos right after the DSS application. It was the most intense cast to the date. Having both arms rigid and stuck feels a bit claustrophobic. It's like someone hugging you all the time. I loved how this shell shaped my body and how warm and comfy it was inside. What do you think? Want to see more of this cast? Do you really want to see more big casts?

Nora's SLC

Sadly I couldn't wear this cast as long as I wanted that's why there was no time to take many pictures but I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed resting my foot.

Nora relaxing in her SLC

Here you can see me reading and having a drink while I rested my foot (It actually hurt and ended up going to the doctor) Fortunately it was nothing. This was my first experience wearing an SLC and any kind of fiberglass cast and I couldn't be more excited. Fiberglass is a hundred times better than plaster (although I really like the final result of plaster) Maybe in the future I can spend a longer term with a similar cast, as this one was only on for 16 hours more or less.

Nora's First SLC Application

Here you can see the application of my first SLC and not only that, my first fiberglass cast! I love fiberglass, it's going to be difficult if I ever have to come back to plaster. This is so light! I got this short term SLC because I had a bit of a pain on my right foot, but the doctor said it wasn't even worth of an X-Ray and I only got some pain killers so I decided to immobilize for a bit to prevent me from using it (Otherwise it's really difficult for me to stay still) I hope you enjoy it...

Nora’s Night Routine with a Velpeau Cast

At last some rest but first I must prepare for bed. Washing my face and brushing with my left hand was tougher than I though at first. After I’m done I get to rest this heavy cast. Let’s see what awaits next morning.     XOXO Nora

Nora Tidying Up Kitchen in a velpeau

Doing chores in a velpeau cast is easier than doing them with a LLWC on your leg. Even though my right arm was stuck to my torso, I managed to do everything and the kitchen was tidy in a minute. I loved how tight and snug this cast was. I enjoyed it very much.

Nora's Velpeau Application

An arm cast with a twist. It's stuck to my body! It was really fun feeling the plaster hardening while my arm and my torso fused. Even though it wasn't the most comfortable to sleep in, it was easier than the LLWC. I hope one day I can do a Velpeau Shoulder Spica, that would be a challenge.

Nora's Velpeau Post Application

After a long application session (longer than I'm used to) I'm ready to enjoy the sun to let my cast rest. It was really comfy and I hope one day I can do a term Velpeau. How long do you think I can wear a cast like this for?

Nora's Velpeau Time Lapse

Here you can see me relaxing in the sun while my cast dries. I couldn't use the pool but the cast was worth it. The heat felt really nice and added to the heat from the reaction of the plaster.

Nora's Velpeau

I didn't know a body cast could be so comfortable. This velpeau kept my body and right arm so snug that I started to miss it as soon as I got it removed. It was like a day long hug.

I hope you enjoy this picture set as much as I enjoyed having my arm stuck to my torso.

Nora's LLWC Morning Routine

In this video I wake up and prepare breakfast twice as fast as normal (damn leg cast hehe). It didn't feel so heavy because I was used to the weight and it was drying.

Last long video of the series. I'm already missing this cast. It was fun while it lasted.

Nora's LLWC Night Routine

Regular chores are really difficult while dealing with a LLWC and crutches. It felt really clumsy. Daily routine is twice as hard when your leg is fully immobilised, but not as hard as plaster. Enjoy this video, second part coming sooon.

Nora's LLWC Application

Did you know plaster is heavy? I didn't, but when roll after roll of soaked plaster when up and down my leg I finally realised.

It wasn't easy standing there for so long but thankfully I had a heel applied and my crutches close.

The feeling of the moist plaster hardening and immobilising my ankle and knee is something I can't describe with words.

Next time I'll try two LLWCs. I'm ready and ...
