It's a post-manga world, and we're looking at the final entry of the 13 original Z movies. A new hero comes to town, and he hates everybody. There's also a Dragon Fist, but it doesn't really do much. Dragon Ball Dissection's look at The Boo Arc doesn't actually conclude this time, but we do get to the ending, as contradictory as that sounds. Skipping ten years into the future, there are new designs, new characters, a new tournament that doesn't make sense... all immediately discarded so Goku can have fun with a semi-random kid. The Ranger teams have to fight a Frankenstein's Monster monster! A lot of the same footage but vastly different directions. One uses the iconography to carry a Halloween episode. The other uses it as an opening salvo of a multi-part storyline about clay. In other words, there's a lot around here that is amazingly, wonderfully at odds with its cultural counterpart.
