It's kind of bizarre that Ulala, AiAi and NiGHTS are in this game. This I believe was also the last time the classic NiGHTs design was used - Sonic Riders Zero Gravity used the Wii game's design.

Early in the life of Hedgeblog we made GIFs of all the characters intros for Sonic Riders - both intros for them with a Board and with Skates.
However, these GIFs were ancient - when I had to make them with 3MB of data. Now I can make them with 10MB of data - cleaner, larger, and better!

The Jetsons: Invasion of the Planet Pirates is a SNES game developed by STING and published by Taito. A weird game! George has a Vacuum and does some fancy tricks with it.

Continuing into more Disney games on the PlayStation, Emperor's New Groove is a pretty late one. Developed by Argonaut (Makers of Croc) in 2000, It's... not great. But it looks decent for a Disney game!

You might be asking "Why are you using the Mega CD version of the game? Shouldn't you just use the Mega Drive one?"
Interestingly, the original Mega Drive version does NOT have an Attract mode! If you just leave it at the title screen, it'll just.. repeat the song. On the Mega CD version, oddly, it does have an attract mode going through several stages!

One of the later releases on the Super Nintendo, Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow was a Donald Duck game made by Disney Interactive! First out for the Mega Drive, it released on the SNES in America in 1997! That's very late!

Definitely one of those "We just figured out how to make rendered characters" games. Just read the plot:
"The game follows the protagonist, Johnny Bazookatone, trapped in the year 2050 in Sin Sin Prison by El Diablo, lord of the underworld. His guitar, known as "Anita" is taken from him, and so Johnny must travel to reclaim it."
Bizarre doesn't even begin to describe it.
2D platformers were still being made in the early PSOne era.. but they were all getting pretty weird. Johnny Bazookatone, published by U.S. Gold, is deinitely one of them. Bit of a fever dream of a game really.

They seemed to really try with this game! Garfield has a unique head in each world - Pharoh hat, Sabertooth teeth etc. It's a lot!

It's interesting that Sonic X Shadow Generations calls this stage "The ARK". It seems pretty based around the general vibe of the stages, especially Sonic's Final Rush. Still, keen to play!

Back in the days you could make a game about anything, even Capcom! And in this case, it's a long dead Pizza Mascot. Still, not a bad game!
In Japan this was a game called Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru, but they just swapped out the graphics for the West.

You might have seen magazine ads for The Unholy War growing up - I certainly did, but I never actually knew what it was. It's kind of an early Power Stone I guess? You run around, fighting against another character.
A weird Crystal Dynamics joint, and also a game made by Toys For Bob - who later made all the Skylanders games and Crash Bandicoot 4!

PlayStation had a lot of fighting games, but also a lot of shooters too! Compared to SEGA City and the shooters of the 16-Bit era, the 32-Bit era tend to get a bit more of a boost!
