One of the most common questions we're asked by new viewers is "how did Riley start sailing?" But trying to get Riley to talk about himself on YouTube is like trying to get blood out of a stone! Amongst sailing the Ragged Islands and spearfishing for lobster, join us for some laughs as I attempt to squeeze the story from Riley of how he ended up sailing La Vagabonde, once and for all!
Thanks for supporting this episode.

Now THIS episode is a little different. We haven't invented how to teleport but hopefully this 55 minutes is the next best thing to spending a day on board with us.
Slower pace so you can really take it all in. Let us know if you want to see more like it.
Thanks for supporting this episode. We hope you enjoy the early preview for next week.
Sending with love from us all!

*I realize there is a war, people dying of starvation etc but I think it's important for personal issues to be shared to make people aware of what life might be like inside another person. The human experience in all of its gory and real manifestations. It would have been so much easier to hide this issue I've been having, but I know how many other people there are out there, struggling with something. I figured that maybe by me being raw and honest with you guys, you will realize we all have...

Elayna wants these in the Rapido. They’re actually not heavy compared to a normal sink. What do you all think? Groovy or decadent? Suave or gaudy?

As I say in the video, easy to brush this off but really it was a huge error. I’m trying to highlight this for everyone to learn from and also for myself in order to maintain a high level of vigilance as the years wear on.
Something so small can end up putting the lives of the crew in danger. We’ll it did, I guess. Anyway watch the vid and let me know what you think.
Cheers, Riley.

This was a really cool experience to work with an experienced filming crew on board La Vagabonde. You might find this a little different to our normal videos but hey, you know we love to mix it up every now and then. We learnt a heap, hopefully you learnt something too. Let us know what you thought.
Now I know we haven't been so good at getting our videos out early for you lately which we are truly sorry. But I promise you we are putting our heads together to make it happen again so sta...

Join us back in the Bahamas with Jack and Fran from Back 2 Basics. We do a heap of spearfishing in this one, sourcing food for many of our surrounding cruisers. This lobster was by far our biggest catch. We weren't the only hungry ones though, we had to fight off the sharks too.
Thanks for supporting this episode.

We're back at one of our favourite freediving blue holes and we've brought some friends. You may remember Jack & Fran from Back2Basics during our time in Western Australia last year. What started off as a few days became almost a week as SOMEONE was very eager not to leave until they reached their milestone depth of 50M.
Thanks to everyone who jumped on our live stream yesterday. If you missed it and would like to see the recording, you can view it 2022-03-28 16:53:19 +0000 UTC

We get asked regularly about our thoughts on the state of our oceans and our answer is that we're genuinely concerned. In this episode we wanted to emphasise that this issue isn't going away and how important it is to do everything we can to protect and restore our reefs.
Are you still hopeful that we can turn it around? Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

These sharks in the Bahamas never fail to excite us and it turns out we're not the only ones obsessed with them. These sharks produce a ton of tourism in these sanctuary's. Good news for everyone involved.
You know what I'm thinking?...... Will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark... (Gareth from The Office UK version)

How amazing were all these photos? We counted 127 photos and we absolutely ❤️ loved ❤️ each and every one of them. It was so much fun looking through them all. There was such a range of entries, we had real difficulties shortlisting these. We're sorry to those who didn't make it. We really did appreciate every photo posted. What we tried to do was firstly include those who matched the criteria, then to include a mix of entries who showed either humour, a creative side, or just provide...

Hey crew, you know we've always trusted you guys (our Patreon family) the most when it has come to sharing our ideas and projects we've been working on. We've been brainstorming behind the scenes about an app!! An app that would essentially connect all ocean lovers (sailors, powerboats, seaside land lubbers, divers etc). An app to find a buddy boat of like minded people! To host an event on the beach! To find fellow cruisers with kids to link up with in the area.
We've narrowed it down ...

It became a recent realisation of how calm we both are when coming close to running aground. I can tell you it's not like that on board every boat.
The weather really has been all over the place lately which is a good excuse to mix it up with various different islands on and off the boat. We were able to get back to one of our favourite spots of the Bahamas - Hurricane Dorian really did a number on it only a few years ago.
Not long now and we'll be into Spring where the weather sh...

The first time we experienced swimming with sharks, Lenny was only a few months old. I'd say it still remains to be one of the most special experiences we have ever done. This time around, we were really excited to provide this experience for Lenny. I'm sure he will look at them in a different light to those of my friends who grew up watching 'Jaws'.

With forecasted winds coming from every angle, we figured it was a safer option to head into a marina for the night. It was a great opportunity to stock up on fresh food too.
Now this brings us to round two of the charter cabin giveaways. This time around it's a super quiz which will be released during a live stream later this week. We'll send through a link with the times shortly after this video is published to the public. This is sure to be a heap of fun so we hope you can make it.
