Sailing Greta Thunberg // HALF WAY DAY Ep. 5

We reach the half way mark of our trip across the Atlantic. The most exciting day of our voyage so far! Celebrated with cookies and an interview with Greta. Sailing Greta Thunberg // a tropical STORM is headed our WAY! 😱 Ep.4

Lenny thought these two were pretty funny as you can see on the thumbnail. BOAT LIFE: Getting Hauled Out, in the middle of NO WHERE.. Ep. 234

La Vagabonde gets a haul out in the middle of no where for some boat repairs. Towns like this, remind me a lot of a few of the country towns around where I grew up in Western Australia. A bit odd.. 😹 but I love to play chameleon and blend in to any new environment we find ourselves in. Join us on the concrete as we replace the seals on the sail drives and I invite a friend Bri to stay the night. We have a girls night and tare up the town (go to one bar..) whilst Lenny stays home with dad! ...

Our Time in Newport Ep. 233

Join us for some time in Newport. We give you a quick history lesson of what we learnt about the historic town.

Riley does some maintenance on the boat (in some cases possibly even creating work for himself) and a visit to the doctors for potential skin cancer. This is not the first time Riley has had skin cut off and likely wont be the last. Don't forget to "slip slop slap" when you're out in the sun folks!

Riley's Gone Fishing! Ep.227

So this is the episode we meet Fisherman Chuck in Montauk, New York. He was recommended by the locals as a very interesting character and I think it's safe to say he lived up to his reputation.

WE DID IT!! We completed the Atlantic! (including unseen raw footage)

We did it! We crossed the Atlantic Ocean in what was the most challenging crossing we have ever experienced. This included up to 50 knot winds and 5 metre waves. In one instance, we went from 16 to 46 knots of wind in less than 40 seconds. We were warned about these crazy weather systems, and it was so good for us to see how our boat handled (and how we handled) in a moment of intense stress. We're very proud on all fronts.

Our Montauk, New York Arrival ! Ep. 226

Another scheduled post to show you our arrival into New York after a long sail from the Bahamas. Yeah so we're adrift.. haha. We ran out of wind and then diesel, and now we're drifting towards land - Montauk to be exact. Our Mad Rush to the Annapolis Boat Show

Well, we managed to get ourselves and La Vagabonde to the Annapolis Boat Show.. a huge thank you to everyone who came and waited for hours in line to see us. We honestly feel so very lucky to have crew like you guys! And for those who came to the Sunday event, we hope you had as much fun as we did. (Riley had a little too much) What a week! It probably took us a week to recover from it all but it was definitely worth it.
