Evoke demo-party 2024

This is an annual event held in Cologne where groups and individuals submit eye-candy executable graphic demos and music etc.

Beware that the SD-installation directory name has changed.
You may want to move your samples and tracks over to the new directory and also download the attached new template file. Put it in "/nc/tracks".

Addendum: I recommend to un-install the old installer and then the new one again to ensure that the new "/nc" directory is used.

Old files should still load.

New noisy test-drive video

Fix in installer: Email cuts off randomy

In some cases entering an email in the installer would cut the string short randomly and prevent the account from being recognized.

If you did not experience this then you can ignore the issue.

If you did, please uninstall the installer and install it again.

The easiest way to uninstall it is to press the L+R shoulder buttons in the installer, then press a to confirm followed by b to exit. Then scan the QR-code with FBI to install the new fixed installer version.

From now on you can install a bleeding-edge temp-build instead of the official version if you like.

Use it at your own risk however - it is only meant for testing and saved files may become incompatible with the next version in the worst case.

Latest but not greatest news

Tracker-fication is in progress

I took some holiday from my regular job to work on improving the sequencer-related user interface and unwind/relax a bit as well.

There will be a video about it some time in the future but I currently feel that I want to stick focusing on the engineering while I can. But I thought it could be a good idea to let you patreons know ahead.

Drum samples pack

This contains about a hundred kicks, snares, hats, percussion and sfx sounds in wav format, 32khz.
As well as 70 claps and a few drum-loops.

Simply copy the files into your /samples directory on the 3DS SD card.

Please re-run the installer to download and install the new version.
You do not need to uninstall the previous version, it is simply overwritten.

Pikmin 3 Beats YouTube video + demo songs

I am super duper happy how this one turned out.
It might seem strange if you don't know what Pikmin 3 is - it's my favorite Nintendo game.

To install the demo songs please download and extract the zip-file to your SD-card.

You will need the new version 0.0.4 in order to load the demo-files, I will push the release shortly. Please don't attempt to load them with a previous version.

How to start

The easiest way of installing the latest demo-version as of now is to use the universal-updater app which is bundled with the custom firmware on your 3DS or 2DS and should be already present.
Simply open it and search for "Noise Commander".
